1. The “Gotthard Panorama Express” product The “Gotthard Panorama Express” was launched in summer 2017. It offers passengers an ex- clusive and unique panoramic journey combined with a steam-boat trip across Lake Lucerne and a train journey (panorama coaches in 1st class) on the historical Gotthard panoramic route into southern Switzerland. It is also possible to travel in the opposite direction – from south to north. Boat  Unforgettable steam-boat trip across Lake Lucerne  Travelling at midday in either direction is the perfect opportunity to have lunch in the boat’s cosy restaurant (lunch not included in the price) Train  Easy transfer from the boat to the train (at ground level, only a distance of 100 m)  Spectacular route with helical tunnels along the legendary Gotthard railway line  Information over the loudspeaker system on the history and legend of the Gotthard region along the way  Presentations in the Gotthard tunnel  Photography coach with windows that open  Option to book part routes and to combine the trip with the Glacier Express

1.1. Route Starting from Lucerne, the boat cruises right across Lake Lucerne, passing historical sites on the way and always surrounded by the unique scenery of this historical part of Swit- zerland. In Flüelen, the Gotthard Panorama Express is waiting to take passengers along the historical route through spectacular helical tunnels and past Wassen church, which became world- famous thanks to the ingenious routing of this railway line. The journey comes to an end in southern Switzerland, at either Bellinzona or Lugano. The Gotthard Panorama Express travels in both directions, i.e. from Lucerne to Bellinzo- na/Lugano and from Lugano/Bellinzona to Lucerne. The option to book part routes means that it can also be combined with the Glacier Ex- press (alight in Göschenen, continue from Andermatt to Zermatt or St. Moritz).

1.5. Panorama train The Gotthard Panorama Express has three air-conditioned 1st class panorama coaches with large panoramic windows, offering a perfect view of the mountains and the various sights along the route (coach numbers 11, 12 and 13). If, in exceptional circumstances, panorama coaches cannot be provided, these will be replaced by normal 1st class coaches. A limited number of 2nd class seats are available in coach 15 (air-conditioned coach WITHOUT panorama windows) for passengers on a smaller budget. In-between is coach 14, the photography coach with windows which open. This 2nd class coach, which is not air-conditioned, is ideal for photographers. A number of “photography coach” seats are available to book. These seats are not numbered, so passengers are free to sit where they wish. Passengers from the adjacent coaches can also travel in the photography coach and they too can choose where they sit.
