Sub: Written Test and/or Interview for Admissions to Dual Degree (M.Tech. + Ph.D.) 2014­15 (Autumn Semester) Dear Candidate, Reference your application for admission to Dual Degree (M.Tech. + Ph.D.) of this Institute, I am to request you to be present for further screening through Written Test and/or Interview for admission in the Electrical Department as per the schedule given below.

The Written Test is scheduled to be held on June 5, 2014. Candidates are requested to assemble at Hall­ 2, New Lecture Hall complex at 8:30 am. Interviews will be conducted on June 6, 2014. THE CANDIDATES CALLED FOR THE WRITTEN TEST AND/OR INTERVIEW MUST PRODUCE ORGINAL GATE SCORE CARD AND/OR HIS/HER COLLEGE/ ORGANIZATION I­CARD OR ANY OTHER PHOTOCOPY IDENTITY PROOF FOR VERIFYING THE IDENTITY.

CANDIDATES BELONGING TO OBC­NON­CREAMY LAYER (OBC­NC) AND RESERVED CATEGORY MUST SUBMIT ATTESTED COPIES OF THEIR CERTIFICATES AT THE TIME OF WRITTEN TEST AND / OR INTERVIEW.

Candidates are requested to report to the respective Head of Department/ Centre/ School and Conveners of IDP groups at 8:00 a.m. on schedule date of Written Test and/or Interview. Only successful candidates in the written test will be interviewed further as per schedule. Interviews will be conducted in respective Academic Units. The Interview may continue on the next day, if required.

Please note: • The ORIGINAL certificates of educational qualification, date of birth, GATE score card (self­attested Xerox copy of GATE score card, if the original is not available) are to be produced at the time of Written Test and/or Interview. • The result of Written Test and/or Interview is likely to be declared in the Institute website on 13th June, 2014 for all disciplines. However, a specimen copy will be available on the institute website http://www.iitb.ac.in/academic/mtech.jsp. If selected, the admission offer letter will be sent to you by email. • If selected, you will be required to confirm your seat by paying fees, deposits and Hostel rent { as mentioned in the Table A.1: Fees, Deposits & Hostel Rent for M.Tech. Students (subject to revision as per MHRD/ BoG decision) of the M.Tech. Information Brochure 2014­15 by way of Debit Card (ATM card)/ Credit card/ SBI Banking/Online Payment System/Demand Draft of any Nationalised Bank (preferably SBI/ Canara Bank) drawn in favour of "Registrar, IIT Bombay" payable at indicating your Name, Application ID, choice, Birth category and Email ID on reverse of the Demand Draft. The draft may be submitted in person to Academic Section or sent by post to the Dy. Registrar (Academic), IIT Bombay, , Mumbai­ 400 076.

For payment of fees by Debit Card/Credit card/ SBI Banking/Online Payment System, you can login into the M.Tech. Admission Online webpage http://www.portal.iitb.ac.in.

• Please note that the interview date cannot be postponed. However, in case the candidates having University Examination on above dates may contact concerned Head/Convener of the academic units. However, the decision of the concerned HOD for conducting interview on the above given dates will be final. For hostel accommodation, you are instructed to contact Hostel Co­ordinating Unit (HCU), Ground Floor, Main Building, IIT Bombay on 022­2576 8900 or E­mail at [email protected] for all hostel related queries/confirmation of hostel accommodation.
