Key Projects Minotaur Solver Summer 2019 Prof. Ashutosh Mahajan | Summer Undergraduate Research Programme IIT Bombay • Contributed towards enhancing the performance of Minotaur, an Open Source solver for mixed integer nonlinear optimization problems, which is being developed by IIT Bombay. • Ran various examples to identify the bottlenecks while focusing on algorithms like Branch and Bound for relaxing, dividing, tightening and exploring the search space. • Read relevant literature on the topic of Mixed Integer Non Linear Programming

SudokuSpoiler Summer 2019 Web and Coding Club, IITB | Seasons of Code IIT Bombay • Created the backend of an Android app for finding the solution of a sudoku from its picture using Backtracking Algorithm and the minimum remaining value heuristic • Trained a three layer Neural Network for handwritten digit recognition using the extended MNIST dataset and identified the digits in a sudoku image using Sliding Window algorithm • Implemented Homography Transformation using the OpenCV library for image rectification

Angry Birds 0.50 Spring 2019 Prof. Amitabha Sanyal | Course Project IIT Bombay • Created a rudimentary version of the famous game Angry Birds in Racket using 2htdp/image and 2htdp/universe libraries to manage graphics and event-handling capabilities respectively. • Implemented the Separating Axis Theorem to detect collisions between convex 2D game objects • Developed a engine from scratch to model phenomena such as gravity, friction and collisions

Proof Reading Rewriter Ongoing Prof. Amitabha Sanyal | Course Project IIT Bombay • Developing an online NLP tool/application in Django web framework which will correct grammar mistakes and rewrite the sentences in a different form like converting from active to passive voice. • Working on parse trees created from sentences using the Natural Language Toolkit (NLTK) • Making use of online APIs to search for synonyms of words in the input text and replace those accordingly Other Projects

• CrackCipher | Prof. Amitabha Sanyal Course Project Created a cipher solver which decrypts text encrypted with mono-alphabetic substitution in Racket using heuristics like dictionary closure, secret word enumeration and ETAI strategy • Spam Classifier Self Project Built spam email classifiers using Support Vector Machine with a Gaussian Kernel and a Naive Bayes Classifier and compared their results using various datasets • DecisionTrees | Prof. Amitabha Sanyal Course Project Carried out Supervised Machine Learning using Decision Trees which maximized the entropy reduction to choose the decision functions at each node in Racket • MyRacket | Prof. Amitabha Sanyal Course Project Created an interpreter for a subset of Racket which implemented the environmental model of execution using stacks, frames and closures Technical Skills Programming C++, C, Python, Racket, Java, Prolog, Android Studio, Bash Web Development HTML, CSS, PHP, Bootstrap, JavaScript, Django, Software Git, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, OpenCV, TensorFlow, MATLAB, LATEX Key Courses Undertaken Computer Science Data Structures and Algorithms(& Lab)*, Software Systems Lab*, Logic for Computer Science+, Digital Logic Design(& Lab)+, Design and Analysis of Algorithms+, Computer Networks(& Lab)+, Abstractions and Paradigms in Programming(& Lab), Computer Programming and Utilization Mathematics Discrete Structures*, Data Analysis and Interpretation*, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations *to be completed by November 2019 +to be completed by March 2019 Positions of Responsibility Convener, Literati IIT Bombay April 2019 - Present IIT Bombay’s Literary Arts Club

• Part of the 7 member Institute Literary Arts Council, incharge of planning and execution of events of the club catering to 10,000+ students • Ideated, created and conducted quizzes, and other competitions attended by 200+ people • Maintained and created content for two summer blogs — Don Quizote and LitWaR —that cover genres such as quizzing and word games, garnering 50,000+ hits in three months

Extracurriculars

• Stood Third in the Wordgames event at Inter-IIT Cultural Meet held at IIT Roorkee as a part of IIT Bombay’s contingent which stood First among all the IITs 2018 • Stood Third in the Regionals of Enigma, a national level General Knowledge quiz competition organized by BITS Pilani, Hyderabad 2018 • Secured Sixth position in IIT Bombay Open General Quiz and Fourth position in the Freshmen General Quiz organized by Literati, IIT Bombay 2019 • Completed one year of Social Service by teaching math and science to underprivileged kids under the Educational Outreach programme of National Service Scheme (NSS) 2018 • Attended Vijyoshi National Science Camp organized by KVPY at IISc, Bangalore for facilitating interaction among bright young minds and leading researchers 2017
