Just a few days before he was niftar, I went to visit Reb Yisroel Chaim in the hospital. He was lying in an oxygen tent, as the medical world provided at that time. His entire body was covered so that it was difficult to see what was going on inside the tent. Suddenly I saw through the plastic window that Reb Yisroel Chaim was awake and alert. What was he doing? I was shocked to see tears flow- ing from his eyes.
