DAY 2 PREVIEW: There are nine singles matches on Tuesday’s schedule at the Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship with four seeds leading the way.

In the first singles match on Center Court, No. 7 seed and of Argentina meet for the first time. The 30-year Cypriot is making his third appearance in Houston while Schwartzman is making his debut. In the second match on, an all-American battle takes place as No. 6 seed looks for his third win in as many meetings against . Johnson won the last meeting here in the 1R one year ago in straight sets. In the next match on, another all-American match-up occurs as No. 5/two-time runner-up takes on 6’11” lucky loser , who is making his main draw debut on the ATP World Tour. Opelka won the Wimbledon boys’ title last July and is one of the talented American teenagers on the ATP World Tour. In the evening session, top seeds and five-time champions Bob and meet countrymen and Donald Young. The Bryans are trying to jumpstart their season this week and win their first title since last August at ATP Masters 1000 Montreal. In the final match on, 2014 champion and Argentine qualifier square off for the third time (tied 1-1).

TEENAGERS TO WATCH: There are three American teenagers looking to win 1R matches: wild cards cards and along with lucky loser Reilly Opelka. The trio of 18-year-olds are all making their Houston main draw debut. Paul won the Roland Garros boys’ title last year and was runner-up at the US Open boys’ tournament. He is up to a career-high ranking of No. 200 (from No. 215) after qualifying at the . Tiafoe reached a career-high No. 167 Mar. 21. Opelka was one of three Americans to win boys’ titles last season. He captured the Wimbledon title.
