1 The GANT Championships

The GANT Championships at Roehampton Club is a new, intimate pre-Wimbledon international tennis event. Built on the great history of the popular Roehampton Cup, that attracted the world’s best players to the historic Roehampton Club between 1994 and 2006.

Boris Becker, Goran Ivanisevic, Michael Chang, (from the age of 13), , , Pat Cash, Richard Krajicek and were just some of the iconic champions who enjoyed Gustavo Kuerten (2002) playing at Roehampton club, as they fine-tuned their grass court games ready for Wimbledon.

The GANT Championships is set to continue the tradition of showcasing the world’s leading tennis stars of today and tomorrow; with ever popular Fernando Verdasco, Hyeon Chung who stunned the tennis world to reach the semi finals of the 2018 and America’s next sensation, , just 20 years old and already among the early entries. They will play in an exciting, “Now vs Next”, international challenge on the stadium court of the prestigious Roehampton Club, over three days, prior to Wimbledon, Thursday 28th, Friday 29th and Saturday 30th June 2018. 3 PASSIONATE INNOVATIVE AUTHENTIC Roehampton Club History

Roehampton Club was founded in 1901 and the Members’ owned Club has always been at the heart of sport in London. Initially starting out as a polo and croquet club, the Club has developed into a true multi-sports club, with outstanding facilities, including world class grass tennis courts, a Championship golf course, and state of the art Health Club and squash facilities.

The Roehampton Club members are predominantly from the local community; typically affluent professionals with young families who enjoy the wide variety of sports that the club offers, and the amazing Victorian fountain gardens.

Set in 100 acres of parkland, The Club is a member of the illustrious Centenary Tennis Clubs, was voted UK Sports Club of the Year in 2017 and is the ideal venue for the world’s best tennis players to fine tune their grass court skills prior to Wimbledon.

Attendance is limited to just 1,000 spectators a day, so every seat is close to the action, and gives the GANT Championships the unique feel of world class grass court tennis, in a tranquil, English, country garden setting; but within just four miles from central London, 20 minutes from Waterloo station and one mile from East Putney tube station.

GANT, the original American lifestyle brand, are reviving the great event driven by their credo of ‘Never Stop Learning’ and will be bringing their own unique twist to the event. Lleyton Hewitt (2004)

An exciting new “Now vs Next” format, spectators will enjoy seeing current stars, like Fernando Verdasco, take on the superstars of the very near future, such as Jared Donaldson; just 21, but already ranked 49 in the world, and with only five players younger in the top 50 ahead of him in the world rankings. The ATP’s next generation scoring will ensure entertaining tennis, with the matches streamed live on to the players’ Facebook pages.

o 12:00 pm: Pimm’s reception in the Victorian fountain garden

o 12:45 pm: A delightful lunch from the interactive food stations

o 2:45 pm: Hosts escort guests to your reserved, stadium court seating in the front rows to watch the tennis (keen tennis followers can choose to to the tennis early to watch the preview match from 1:45 pm)

o Followed by: Traditional afternoon tea served until 6:30 pm
