Ukrferry is a shipping company established in 1995. The company is awarded Ukraine’s national carrier status. Under Ukrainian law, Ukrferry has the status of a designated company in implementing a number of intergovernmental agreements on the joint operation of railway ferry crossings in the . Currently, the company is the largest ferry operator in the Black Sea Region. Today Ukrferry offers regular services along all the strategic Black Sea routes connecting Ukraine, , Turkey and .

Паромная переправа «Ильичевск – Поти / Батуми» была создана в рамках развивающегося международного транспортного коридора «Трасека» в 1996 году. Линия предоставляет не только железнодорожный и ро-ро сервис, но и предлагает услуги по перевозке контейнеров на ролл-трейлерах. С 2011 года паромное направление «Украина – Грузия» обслуживается на базисе двух еженедельных круговых рейсов, выполняемых по фиксированному расписанию .

Port of Derince (Turkey)

 Port of Derince is located in Izmit Bay 70 kilometres away from Istanbul in the heart of industrial Turkey.  The port has extensive road and rail networks linking it to central and southern regions of the country.  Derince is the port of call at ocean lines connecting the Mediterranean with Southeast (Japan, Korea, China) as well as at the European lines connecting Northern Europe (the Baltic Sea States) with the Mediterranean Region (Italy, France, Spain and North Africa).  In addition, the port of Derince serves as the point of transhipment for cargoes passing through Turkey on the way to Central Asian Republics and Afghanistan.

Port of Derince rail ferry terminal

 Port of Derince rail ferry terminal is equipped with 1520 mm gauge railways having a total length of more than 2 kilometres and a linkspan bridge for rolling on/rolling off railcars to or from Geroi Shipki type ferries.

 The terminal’s coastal segment provides for a single time storage of up to 70 multi-purpose 1520 mm gauge railcars and handling of up to 30 railcars carrying various cargos.

 The terminal offers the following cargo handling options: 1520 mm gauge railcar –1435 mm gauge railcar, 1520 mm gauge railcar – motor vehicles, 1520 mm gauge railcar – port’s warehouse.
