Abstracted from the Miller Funeral Home and Cremation Services, St MABRY, Berkley Mabry (Abstracted from the Miller Funeral Home and Cremation Services, St. Marys and New Knoxville, Ohio - http://www.millerfuneralhomes.net/) Berkley “Cubby” Mabry, 56, of 932 Hendricks Avenue, St. Marys, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010, in the emergency department of Joint Township Hospital in St. Marys. He was born October 9, 1953, in Louisa, KY, the son of Berkley and Liddie (Newsome) Mabry. He married Linda Carroll on July 14, 1973. She survives in St. Marys and while they later divorced, they remained good friends. He is also survived by his two children: Jeff Mabry and Frances (Shawn) Schoonover both of St. Marys; by four grandchildren: Sarah Mabry; Mitchell Mabry; Trent Schoonover and Lilly Schoonover; by his siblings: Gary (Colista) Kitchen of St. Marys; Aaron Spillman of Owingsville, KY; Judy (Sherman) Henderson of St. Marys; Jeff (Gail) Mabry of Melrose, FL; Robert (Tammy) Mabry of St. Marys; Joe (Jamie) Mabry of St. Marys; and James (Shelia) Tackett of St. Marys. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Odus Mabry. Cubby attended high school in Olive Hill, KY. He was an employee of the Saint Marys Foundry, where he worked in the maintenance department. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play sports. Funeral rites will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Memorial donations may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice. MABRY, Chelsea M. Mabry, age 18, of St. Marys, OH died Sunday August 30, 2020 from injuries sustained in a car-semi accident on U.S. Route 127 in Mercer Co., OH. She was born November 4, 2001 in St. Marys, OH. She is survived by: daughter Isabella Leigh Burden of St. Marys, OH; her mother Stephanie Cotrell of St. Marys, OH; a brother Brodie Cotrell of St. Marys, OH; 2 sisters Sydney Lynn Burden of St. Marys, OH; Cheyanna Wheeler of Celina, OH; maternal grandparents Denny & Kathy Burden of St. Marys, OH; uncle Jason (Melissa) Burden of St. Marys, OH; and extended family. She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 2019). She was employed at Arby's Restaurant in St. Marys. Her favorite pastimes included hanging out with her friends and fishing. Rites are scheduled at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Mabry, age 83, of Saint Marys, died September 12, 2018, at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born June 26, 1935, in Mayhan, WV, the daughter of Andrew and Opal (Salter) Browning. She married Arvil Mabry, and he preceded her in death. She is survived by her children: James Eddie Mabry of Saint Marys; Larry Mabry of Montezuma; Rita Kinstle of Wapakoneta; Sherry Mabry of Coldwater; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her sons, Paul Mabry and Robert Mabry; by a grandson, Tommy Mabry; a great-grandson, Dylan Everage; by her siblings: Paul Cooksey; Robert Browning; Ed Browning and James Browning. Clara was a homemaker, and she loved music and spending time with her family. Graveside funeral rites will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at Elm Grove Cemetery. She was born on Jan. 23, 1958, in Flatwoods, KY, the daughter of Ova and Rosie (Bledsoe) Carroll. She married Berkley "Cubby" Mabry, and he preceded her in death. She is survived by her two children, Jeff Mabry of St. Marys and Frances Schoonover of St. Marys, by her son-in-law, Shawn Schoonover of St. Marys and by her four grandchildren, Sarah Mabry, Mitchell Mabry, Trent Schoonover and Lily Schoonover. She is survived by her siblings, Hope Knipp of Flatwoods, KY; Steve (Wanda) Carroll of Iva, SC; Sharon McDavid of Winslow, IN; Rita Carroll of Petersburg, IN; Amber J. Carroll of Springhill, TN; and Pamela (Ralph) Nutter of Petersburg, IN; and stepsiblings Sherry (Owen) Phillips of Grayson, KY; and Rick (Sheri) Blevins of Grahn, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Cubby Mabry. Linda graduated from high school in Olive Hill, KY. She was employed at Omni Manufacturing in St. Marys. Mabry, age 53, of 3601 State Route 703, Celina, Ohio, died suddenly Sunday, January 3, 2016, at his residence. He was born January 27, 1962, in Louisa, KY, the son of Arvil and Clara (Browning) Mabry. He is survived by his mother, Clara Mabry of Saint Marys; by his siblings: James Eddie Mabry of Louisa, KY; Larry Mabry of Saint Marys; by his twin sister, Rita (Mark) Kinstle of Celina; by his sister and best friend, Sheri (Adam) Reid of Celina; by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He is survived by his grandsons, Dalton, Dyllan and Daxtyn Fink. He was preceded in death by his father; by a brother, Arvil Mabry, Jr; by a nephew, Tommy Mabry; and a great-nephew, Dylan Everage. Robert was a guitar player and singer, who for many years performed gospel music with Mabry Ministries. His performances were heartfelt and emotional, and he used his music to bring the message of salvation to many people. His favorite song to perform was “Go Rest High On That Mountain” by Vince Gill, and he when he sang the lyrics “I know your life on earth was troubled/ Any only you could know the pain/ You weren’t afraid to face the Devil/You were no stranger to the rain/, the audience felt his strong belief in redemption through the Lord. He was a very kind, caring and giving man, and will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral rites will be Friday, January 8, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Ohio. She was born April 18, 1961, in Lackey, KY, the daughter of Amos and Chloe (Slone) Slone. She married Robert Mabry on May 7, 1977, in Uniopolis, Ohio; he survives at the residence. She is also survived by her children: Bobby (Lindsay Brown) Mabry of Saint Marys; James (Barbie) Mabry of Saint Marys; Kristy (Brock) Ellis of Saint Marys. She is survived by 13 grandchildren, and by many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings: Betty Sexton of Garrett, KY; Ivan Slone of Hermiston, OR; Phyllis Christian of Saint Marys; Kathy Wurster of Spencerville; Jimmy Slone of Saint Marys; Judy Skeens of Hueysville, KY; Debbie Stephens of Saint Marys; and Stacy Smith of Saint Marys. She was preceded in death by her parents; by a brother, Quinton Slone; a sister, Jessie Allen. Tammy was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking big meals for her family. She was a master of the online game, “Wordscapes”, and she attended Shekinah Temple in Saint Marys. Tammy was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago, and refused to be defeated by it. She liked to tell her family that “Either way, I win”. Funeral rites will be at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. MACK, Babette O. Mack (Abstracted from the Evening Leader, St. Marys, Ohio – September 28, 2011) Babette O. Mack, age 90, formerly of Spencerville and a resident of Otterbein St. Marys, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. She was born on May 11, 1921, in Philadelphia, Pa., to William and Gretchen Rammel Brown, and they preceded her in death. On June 2, 1946, she married Ray H. Mack, and he preceded her in death on May 23, 2008. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law; and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Funeral services will be Friday at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville. Burial will follow in Spencerville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or to the American Cancer Society. A Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary memorial service will be held Thursday at the funeral home.
