Attractive weight, with a good balance of ripe fruit and fresh lemon-lime acidity. Fresh and zippy on the finish. Harvested by hand from high altitude vineyards. Von Winning “Win Win” Riesling 2014 €44 / 23 / 11 Pfalz, Germany Abv: 12% This is a blend of Von Winning’s premier and Grand Cru Vineyards that are some of the best Riesling in the world! The Win Win shows astounding complexity, which is due to the spontaneous fermentation in large barrels and the quality of the fruit that goes into them. On the palate it is crisp and fresh with lots of lemon and lime underscored by that mineral core. Paddy Borthwick Pinot Gris 2014 €45 / 23 / 11 Wairarapa, New Zealand Abv: 13.5% Lively fresh grapefruit and melon scents, leading to a palate rich with citrus, tangerine and grapefruit aromas. Lovely zingy acidity to balance. 4 All listed vintages may be subject to change Light and Crisp Cantina Frentana Cococciola D’Abruzzo 2013 €38 Abruzzo, Italy Grape Varieties: Cococciola Abv: 12.5% Cococciola is as fun to say as it is to drink! This unusual grape from Abruzzo is rarely seen outside of its local area.Lots of herbs on the nose, followed by citrus and stone fruit. This goes well with lighter seafood dishes, and is great on its own before dinner. Domaine de la Pépière, Muscadet Sevre-et-Maine sur Lie (Organic) 2014 €44 Loire Valley, France Grape Varieties: Muscadet Abv: 12% Muscadet as it should be -On the nose a waft of wild flowers and citrus fruit. On the palate it is crisp and fresh with lots of lemon and lime underscored by that mineral core. Giribaldi, Gavi “I Risi” 2014 €47 Piemonte, Italy Grape Varieties: Arneis Abv: 13% This is a great example of the Cortese grape produced in the best hillsides of Piedmont, aromas of ripe apple, pear with a long and mineral finish. Vicentini, Soave Terre Lunghe 2014 €46 Veneto, Italy Grape Varieties: Garganega Abv: 12.5% This comes from a small winery, which produces a fresh and subtle Soave with aromas of white flowers and dried fruits. Marble Leaf Sauvignon Blanc 2014 €40 Marlborough, New Zealand Grape Varieties: Sauvignon Blanc Abv: 12,5% Classic Marlborough style with a mineral edge. Showing strong varietal characters of passionfruit and grapefruit with a long, dry stony finish. Château de l’Abbaye Pouilly Fumé 2013 €45 Loire Valley, France Grape Varieties: Sauvignon Blanc Abv: 12,5% This 100% Sauvignon Blanc is intensely fragrant, heady with blossoms, wet stone and fresh herbs. The citrus flavours are vibrant and bright on the palate, with a hint of nuts and honey. Domaine Paul Doucet & Fils Sancerre Blanc 2014 €45 Loire Valley, France Grape Varieties: Sauvignon Blanc Abv: 13% A distinctive citrus taste with a crisp clean finish. This wine shows a complexity and depth that can rarely be found in Sauvignon Blanc. Domaine des Allegrets Sauvignon Blanc 2013 €38 Côtes de Duras, France Grape Varieties: Sauvignon Blanc Abv: 13,5% A surprisingly full bodied Sauvignon from the South West ofFrance, which has generous rich fruit and perfectly balanced acidity. Intriguing little number. Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc 2014 €58 Marlborough, New Zealand Grape Varieties: Sauvignon Blanc Abv: 13% Greywacke is the exciting solo venture of Kevin Judd, who was formerly the chief winemaker at Cloudy Bay for 25 vintages. This Sauvignon has a refreshing sorbet-like medley of fresh lychee, grapefruit and honeydew melon laced with flinty minerality and finished with an infusion of mandarin and lime zest.
