De cultuur is net Kaysersberg even anders dan in Frans en dat maakt het extra leuk. De prachtige dorpen zijn must om te bezoeken en omdat de Vogezen altijd dichtbij zijn is er ook voor na- Le Linge tuurliefhebbers en sportievelingen genoeg te doen. In dit magazine lees je over de plekken die ik het interessants vind en die liggen in het zuiden van de Elzas. Inhoud Eguisheim Er is echter veel meer te doen zoals bijvoorbeeld de leuke stad Colmar die ik even links het laten liggen maar absoluut een bezoek waard is.     Plan de Kaysersberg City map Stadtplan HISTORY / GESCHICHTE Kaysersberg was first mentionned in 1227, the year in which Henry VII, son of Frederick of Hohenstaufen bought the castle, strategic advantage, in the aim to control the valley. In 1293, thanks to King Adolphe of Nassau Kaysersberg become an Imperial Town. The ci- ty’s economic vocation became apparent. Located at the entrance to the Weiss valley which linked Upper Alsace to Lorraine via the Bonhomme pass, the town was granted numerous privileges. Apart from trade and craft industries, Kaysersberg exported its wines across the Rhine. The Thirty Years War (1618-1648) stopped its eco- nomic expansion. The conflict left the town exhausted. Until the French Revolution, the city gradually increased its population and restored its previous activities. INFORMATIONS PRATIQUES The 19th century was marked by the development of a major textile industry. Reitner Abstract: An overview of the Quaternary Stratigraphy in Austria is given. The subdivision of the mappable depositional units is based partly on criteria of lithostratigraphy (lithic properties) and allostratigraphy (e.g. unconformities). Traces of glaciations are missing for the Early Pleistocene period (2.58–0.78 Ma). The few and isolated sediment bodies are documenting fluvial accumulation and loess deposition along the rivers. Paleomagnetically correlated loess-paleosol-sequences like the profil at Stranzendorf including the Gauss/Matuyama boundary respectively Neogen/Quaternary are documenting slightly warmer condition than during during the Middle Pleistocene (0.78–0.13 Ma) which is in accordance with the global 18δ O record. Four major glaciations (Günz, Mindel, Riß, Würm) are proved during Middle and Late Pleistocene. All of these are documented by proglacial sediments topped by basal till, terminal moraines linked with terrace bodies and loess accumulation as well. This allows to recognize the climatic steering of sedimentation in context with advancing glaciers and the dispersion of permafrost and congelifraction as far as into the Alpine foreland. Both youngest major glaciations (Riß and Würm) are correlated according to geochronological data with the Marine Isotope Stages (MIS) 6 and 2. The simultaneousness of Günz and Mindel with the phases of massive global climatic deterioration during MIS 16 and 12 seems plausible.

Art. 1er - Formation et composition Créé en 1967, le SIVOM de la Vallée de la Weiss devient une Communauté de Communes en 1995. Strasbourg, as the principal city of Alsace, had been German throughout the Middle Ages and Reformation period until the Peace of Westphalia in 1648, when Alsace fell to France (though Strasbourg did not fully become a French city until 1681). After France’s defeat in the Franco‐Prussian War in 1871, which was the occasion of the bombing, Alsace‐ Lorraine was incorporated into the German Empire, and the library was rebuilt and restocked.
