JICA selected and dispatched a study team consisted of Nippon Koei Co. Ltd., Japan Railway Technical Service (JARTS) and Nippon Civic Consulting Engineer Co. Ltd, headed by Mr. Hiroshi Izawa, between February 2009 to May 2010. The team conducted field surveys at the study area and held discussions with the officials concerned of the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Having completed them, now the team prepared this final report. I hope that this report will greatly contribute to the construction and operation of the Metro Line No.4 for the urban transportation in Greater Cairo, as well as to enhancement of friendly relationship between our two countries. Finally, I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the officials concerned of the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt for their close cooperation to the project.
