Collegiate A Cappella Group Visits Julia A. Stark Elementary for Workshop and Performance

WHO: Julia A. Stark Elementary students and The Potsdam Pitches WHAT: Interactive Workshop and Performances WHEN: March 12, 2019 . K, Grades 1 and 2 show: 10:45 – 11:30 a.m. . Grades 3, 4, and 5 show: 12:45 – 1:30 p.m. . 5th Grade Workshop: 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. . Evening Concert: 6:30pm (Open to community) WHERE: Julia A. Stark Elementary School, 398 Glenbrook Road BACKGROUND: The Potsdam Pitches, an award-winning A Cappella group from State University of New York (SUNY) Potsdam, will return to Stark to perform and lead a workshop for students. They will be fostering creative expression through for Stark fifth graders and prepare the students to perform a selection. Additionally, the group will perform for the Stark Community. Stark Teacher, Christopher Knight was a member of The Potsdam Pitches during his time at college and invited them to Stark to perform and share a new realm of music performance.
