Premiere Liste Provisoire Revisée Des Délégations Supplément au Compte rendu provisoire (1 juin 2004) PREMIERE LISTE PROVISOIRE REVISÉE DES DÉLÉGATIONS Conférence internationale du Travail Quatre-vingt-douzième session, Genève Supplement to the Provisional Record (1 June 2004) FIRST REVISED PROVISIONAL LIST OF DELEGATIONS International Labour Conference Ninety-second Session, Geneva Suplemento de Actas Provisionales (1 de junio de 2004) PRIMERA LISTA PROVISIONAL REVISADA DE DELEGACIONES Conferencia Internacional del Trabajo Nonagésima segunda reunión, Ginebra 2004 La liste des délégations est présentée sous une forme trilingue. Elle contient d’abord les délégations des Etats membres de l’Organisation représentés à la Conférence dans l’ordre alphabétique selon le nom en français des Etats. Figurent ensuite les représentants des observateurs, des organisations intergouvernementales et des organisations internationales non gouvernementales invitées à la Conférence. Toutes les informations concernant les noms des pays ou des organisations sont données en français, en anglais et en espagnol. Toute autre information (titres et fonctions des participants) est indiquée dans une seule de ces langues: celle que doit utiliser le Bureau international du Travail dans la correspondance officielle avec le pays dont relève la personne intéressée. Les noms, titres et qualités figurant dans cette première liste provisoire révisée des délégations correspondent aux indications fournies dans les pouvoirs officiels reçus au samedi 29 mai 2004, midi. Une deuxième liste révisée sera publiée mercredi le 9 juin et la liste finale mercredi le 16 juin. Toute demande de rectification d'erreurs matérielles (erreurs typographiques, fautes d'orthographe, etc.) pourra être déposée au secrétariat de la Commission de vérification des pouvoirs (bureau A-261) pour qu'il en soit tenu compte dans l'édition révisée de la liste. Toute demande de modification, d'adjonction ou de suppression, etc., concernant les titres, qualités, fonctions ou statut à la Conférence indiqués dans la liste devra être adressée, sous forme de pouvoirs officiels signés par le ministre du Travail, le ministre des Affaires étrangères, le chef de la mission permanente à Genève ou le chef de la délégation du pays intéressé, au secrétariat de la Commission de vérification des pouvoirs. The list of delegations is presented in trilingual form. It contains the delegations of the member States represented at the Conference in the French alphabetical order, followed by the representatives of the observers, intergovernmental organizations and international non-governmental organizations invited to the Conference. The names of the countries and organizations are given in French, English and Spanish. Any other information (title and functions of participants) is given in the language used for official correspondence between the ILO and the country in question. The names and designations appearing in this first revised provisional list of delegations are those given in the official credentials received up to Saturday 29 May 2004 at noon. A second revised list will be issued on Wednesday 9 June, and the final list of Wednesday 16 June. Requests for correction of material errors (misprints, wrong spellings, etc.) can be handed in at the Secretariat of the Credentials Committee (office A-261) and will be taken into account in a revised edition of the list. Any requests for modifications, additions, deletions, etc., concerning the titles, positions, functions or Conference status indicated in the list must be addressed, in the form of official credentials signed by the Minister of Labour, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the head of the Permanent Mission in Geneva or the head of the delegation of the country concerned, to the Secretariat of the Credentials Committee. La lista de delegaciones se presenta en forma trilingüe. En primer lugar figuran los Estados miembros de la Organización en orden alfabético francés. Seguidamente aparecen las delegaciones de los observadores, organizaciones intergubernamentales y organizaciones internacionales no gubernamentales invitados a la Conferencia. Figuran en francés, inglés y español los nombres de los Estados y organizaciones asistentes a la Conferencia. Los demás datos (títulos y cargos de los participantes) aparecen sólo en la lengua utilizada por la Oficina Internacional del Trabajo para sus comunicaciones oficiales con el correspondiente Estado. Los nombres, títulos y cargos que figuran en esta primera lista provisional revisada de delegaciones son los que constan en los poderes oficiales recibidos hasta el sábado 29 de mayo a mediodía. Se publicará una segunda lista revisada el miércoles 9 de junio y la lista final el miércoles 16 de junio. Toda solicitud de rectificación de errores de carácter material (tipográficos, ortográficos, etc.) deberá presentarse a la secretaría de la Comisión de Verificación de Poderes (despacho A-261) para poder tenerla en cuenta en la edición revisada de la lista. Las solicitudes de modificación, adición, supresión, etc., de los títulos, profesiones, cargos o funciones en la Conferencia que figuren en la lista deberán dirigirse, en forma de poderes oficiales firmados por el Ministro del Trabajo, el Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, el jefe de la Misión permanente en Ginebra o el jefe de la delegación del país interesado, a la secretaría de la Comisión de Verificación de Poderes. The opportunity to expand the boundaries of general aviation, to inspire present and future generations to live their impossibly big dreams, and to be able to fly in the name of world peace, makes all the risks worthwhile.” Robert DeLaurentis The world has changed dramatically since our last update in January. The coronavirus pandemic has slowed down the pace of living for many (all “nonessential” business owners and employees) and rapidly increased the pace of living for others (healthcare workers, ventilator manufacturers, vaccine scientists). Assuming there is a lightening up of quarantine restrictions within the next 30 days, I plan on flying over the North Pole in May when the weather warms up. And if that doesn’t happen, we’ll figure out the next step when we get there. As I put my own “Zen Moments,” into practice, I’m learning when we do the emotional and spiritual work of holding inner peace, and trust the Universe to show us the next step, Life works with us rather than us against Life and the path eventually becomes clear. At its tenth meeting, the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity requested the Executive Secretary to work with Parties and other Governments as well as competent organizations and regional initiatives, such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), regional seas conventions and action plans, and, where appropriate, regional fisheries management organizations (RFMOs) to organize, including the setting of terms of reference, a series of regional workshops, with a primary objective to facilitate the description of ecologically or biologically significant marine areas (EBSAs) through the application of the scientific criteria given in decision IX/20, annex I, as well as other relevant compatible and complementary nationally and intergovernmentally agreed scientific criteria, as well as the scientific guidance on the identification of marine areas beyond national jurisdiction, which meet the scientific criteria in annex I to decision IX/20 (see decision X/29, para. 36). 2. Subsequently, at its eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth and fourteenth meetings, the Conference of the Parties reviewed the outcomes of the regional workshops conducted and requested the Executive Secretary to include the summary reports prepared by the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice, as contained in the annexes to decisions XI/17, XII/22, XIII/12 and 14/9, in the repository of ecologically or biologically significant marine areas, and to transmit the summary reports to the United Nations General Assembly and its relevant processes, as well as to Parties, other Governments and relevant international organizations, in line with the purpose and procedures set out in decisions X/29, XI/17 and XII/22.

Clark A dissertation submitted to Johns Hopkins University in conformity with the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy Baltimore, Maryland September, 2016 © 2016 Joseph Michael Hopper Clark All Rights Reserved Abstract of the Dissertation This dissertation examines the relationship between the Mexican port city of Veracruz and Caribbean in the seventeenth century. Drawing evidence from archival research conducted primarily in Mexico and Spain, I argue that Veracruz was part of a coherent urban system in the early modern Caribbean. Its first chapter uses early chronicles and conquest narratives, archived correspondence of Veracruz’s town council (cabildo), hospital records, and traveler accounts to examine Veracruz’s environmental struggles from the city’s foundation in 1519 until the end of the seventeenth century. Chapter Two builds on a database of import and export tax duties assessed in the ports of Veracruz and Havana to argue that Veracruz was part of a discrete regional trading network that followed patterns that were independent of the transatlantic silver fleet. The third chapter reassesses Veracruz’s role in the transatlantic slave trade, showing that the African captives who arrived in the city were a larger and more diverse group than previous studies have acknowledged. A particular contribution is the use of previously unused Mexican archival sources for the transatlantic slave trade. Chapter Four evaluates the ethnic and religious acculturation of African and free-black communities in Veracruz using the lens of a religious borderland. The final chapter examines how Veracruz’s role in colonial defenses changed over the course of the seventeenth century.
