Concern world-wide has implemented the following activities under HPP( Humanitarian Preparedness Plan), emergency fund in last two months, In Takhar, the following activities are done under emergency fund in last two months:
· Rehabilitation of the drainages system of women detention centre in Taloqan city, and digging of a septic well.
· 250 M3 gabion wall in Dashtak village of Rustaq district.
· 202 M3 stone masonry, Protection wall in Sar Rustaq village of Rustaq district.
· 100m3 stone masonry protection wall in Depast village of Rustaq district.
· 552m3, stone masonry and gabion protection wall in Payan Qala village of Rustaq district.
· 150m3 biological check dam and 1km, road rehabilitation in khoshkakha village of Chah Aab district.
· 452 m3 masonry and gabion wall, in Khaylan village of Chah Aab district.
· Direct Cash transfer for 26 HH, (7800 AFN, for each household, for 26 days).
· Rehabilitation of 4km, Irrigation canal , in Samandab village of Chal district.
· Construction of 35m/length stone masonry protection wall in Daraikalan village of Chall district. · Construction of 37m/length(220m3) stone masonry protection wall in Cheshma-igawan village of Chall district.
· Rehabilitation of 4.8km, irrigation canal in Spench village of Chall district.
· Degraded and waste land developed through digging of Pond, Check dam, Terracing & Trench in 2 Hectar land in Yakatoot village, and 2.5 Hectare of land in Jertibar village of Chall district.
· Construction of 40m3 stone masonry protection wall in Pofer village of Farkhar district.
· Rehabilitation of 4km Irrigation canal in Kurani village of Farkhar district.
· Rehabilitation of 2km, Road in Khakhond village of Worsaj district.
· Rehabilitation of 2.5km, Road , in Mokhoibala, and Payan villages of Worsaj district.
· Construction of 2.4km, Piped Irrigation system in Qalai Hesar village of Worsaj district
· Construction of 30m/length in Taqchakhana village of Namak Aab district.
· Rehabilitation of 1.2km foot way road, in Arashakh village of Namak Aab district. · Degraded and waste land developed through digging of Pond, Check dam, Terracing & Trench, of 5 Hectar land in Zamchaab village of Namak Aab district.
· 437-HHs through CFW and (62) women/widows and disabled, aged vulnerable HHs receive Direct Cash of 7,200 AFN each person, in 14 villages of Chall , Namak Aab , Farkhar, and Worsaj districts.
ARCS; due to recent snowfall, icy and cold weather in Taluqan city of Takhar province 2 water canals have been frozen and the water direction of the frozen canals diverted towards communities houses, an assessment team consisting ANMDA, Mission East, ARCS, WFP PAD monitoring and DR&R has conducted assessment, Details; 1. On 3 Feb.014 the Quchi village canal in Ahandara area of Taluqan frozen and the frozen canal water direction diverted towards the communities’ houses at the result 5 houses have been partially damaged. 2. On 4 Feb.014 due to frozen of Nahri sayed canal in Taluqan city the water direction has been changed towards Communities houses, at the result the following four villages have been affected; 1- Baba Zarif village, 2- Nahri Sayed village, 3- Nahri Chaman village, and 4- Shorab village
Totally there was 31 houses affected out of 31 affected houses, 7 houses have been destroyed completely and 24 houses partially destroyed and IOM, WFP, ANDMA and ARCS have responded the affected families.
7 houses were completely destroyed but it was mistakenly written 6 houses therefore in case there is required they will correct the RAF for 7 houses.
Shelter For Life will implement the following programs in Takhar for 2014; · Shelter for life will implement Food for Work project in 12 districts of Takhar province, this program which is consisting of 143 FFW projects will be implemented against 2618 Mt food. · Protection wall of Shahrawan canal with 300m length. · School feeding of Hazar sumuch and Baharak districts
