Opening of sitting The sitting opened at 9.00. 2. Presentation of the programme of the Slovenian Presidency (debate) Council statement: Presentation of the programme of the Slovenian Presidency The President made a brief statement welcoming the Slovenian President-in-Office of the Council, Janez Janša, and mentioning the 50th anniversary that day of the first meeting of the Commission of the European Economic Community, chaired by Walter Hallstein. Agenda The President proposed the following change to the afternoon's agenda: - the debate on the report on EUROPOL (Report: Agustín Díaz de Mera García Consuegra - A6- 0447/2007) (item 34 on the agenda) would be brought forward and would be held directly after the debate on the Council and Commission statements on the situation in Kenya (item 55 on the agenda).
