Breakthrough Ceremony for Monte Olibano Tunnel on the Cumana Railway Line
BREAKTHROUGH CEREMONY FOR MONTE OLIBANO TUNNEL ON THE CUMANA RAILWAY LINE The tunnel, built by Astaldi Group, allows for the upgrading and expansion of a strategic transport infrastructure for the metropolitan area of Naples and for the whole Phlegrean catchment area Naples, 2 July 2020 – The breakthrough ceremony for Monte Olibano tunnel, which forms part of the project to upgrade and expand the Cumana Railway, was held this morning in Naples and was attended by Vincenzo De Luca , President of Campania Region , Vincenzo Figliolia , Mayor of Pozzuoli , Umberto De Gregorio, Chairman of EAV , as well as Paolo Astaldi , Chairman of Astaldi Group , and Filippo Stinellis , CEO of Astaldi Group. The new tunnel forms part of the project to double the Cumana Railway line along a section measuring approximately 5 km and includes, inter alia, works to adjust the route of the old single-track Monte Olibano tunnel, construction of new stations in Pozzuoli and Cantieri, updating of Gerolomini station and works to double the railway track for the Dazio- Cantieri section. Performance of these works will make it possible to finally complete doubling of the railway line, allowing for an underground-style transport service on the complete Cumana line, with a high frequency of trains and high safety standards. Completion of the planned upgrading and expansion of the railway is scheduled for June 2023. The network, which comprises the Cumana and Circumflegrea lines and 33 stations, serves the whole of the western part of the Naples metropolitan area and the Phlegrean catchment area, a highly-populated area that is set to expand even further as a result of the constant growth of housing and tourism. -
How Getting to Sorrento
HOW GETTING TO SORRENTO: 1) For the people who arrive straight to Naples (Capodichino) airport From Capodichino airport you can get to Sorrento in several ways: a) Airport-Sorrento Bus the best solution is taking a CURRERI VIAGGI (www.curreriviaggi.it) Capodichino-Sorrento bus, it is 10 € and it takes 75 min to get to Sorrento from Naples (Capodichino) airport ( 6 buses a day, every day, at 9 - 11 - 13 - 14.30 - 16,30 - 19,30). You can buy the ticket on the bus and you can take the bus in front of Arrival Hall. b) Bus + Train from the airport there is a public transport of Naples municipality AMN, called Alibus , whose times can be seen on-line (http://www.anm.it/Upload/RES/PDF/ORARI/Capodichino.pdf). The ticket is 3€, it leaves every 20 min, from 6,30 to 24,00 and you can go straight both to Naples centre and to Garibaldi square central station, whence you can get to Sorrento by Circumvesuviana train (local transport) in about 60 min. You can find the times on http://www.vesuviana.it/web/files/Napoli%20Sorrento%20A4.pdf. The Circumvesuviana station is at the lower floor of Central station, it is called Naples Garibaldi and it is well evident. The AMN bus stop at the airport is opposite the arrivals. c) Taxi If you want to get to Sorrento by taxi I suggest to take an official taxi by standing in a queue on the right, coming out of the airport, near the municipal police. The taxi is quite expensive, about 70/100 € and you have to pay the return too because the distance is over 50 Km. -

A hedonic model for estimating the efects of transit systems on real estate values is specifed and calibrated for the city of Naples. Te model is used to estimate the external benefts concerning property values which may be attributed to the Naples metro at the present time and in two future scenarios. Te results show that only high-frequency metro lines have appreciable efects on real estate values, while low-frequency metro lines and bus lines produce no signifcant impacts. Our results show that the impacts on real estate values of the metro system in Naples are signifcant, with corresponding external benefts estimated at about 7.2 billion euros or about 8.5% of the total value of real estate assets. 1. Essa nasce dal desiderio delle più importanti Associazioni Nazionali, impegnate sul tema, di collaborare per promuovere e far crescere la mobilità dolce, attraverso una serie di azioni e attività da sviluppare congiuntamente. La rete sul territorio per la mobilita dolce promuove il piacere del viaggio a bassa velocità e la mobilità attiva, integrando percorsi ciclabili, reti di cammini, ferrovie turistiche, linee ferroviarie locali, riutilizzando e qualificando il patrimonio esistente, in una visione integrata con il trasporto collettivo: una rete dolce, semplice da utilizzare da parte di tutti. Centro di Ricerca Trasporti Università degli Studi di Genova Impianti speciali: ruolo e caratteristiche Riccardo Genova Visita tecnica del 6 febbraio Mobilità e trasporti La progettazione di nuove reti di trasporto pubblico e la trasformazione di quelle esistenti realizzano gli obiettivi di sostenibilità attraverso: riqualificazione delle città e dei centri storici; impiego di veicoli per il trasporto pubblico a grande capacità di trasporto ed ecologici; riduzione della mobilità privata. Fondamentali per l’ottenimento di tali obiettivi sono l’integrazione modale e la fruibilità del trasporto pubblico Integrazione ed interoperabilità Lo scambio modale deve essere semplice ed immediato. Sono necessari: orari integrati; sistema unico tariffario. A tale scopo vengono istituite Agenzie per la Mobilità cui delegare le funzioni di: pianificazione; progettazione e controllo del TPL. Il concetto di interoperabilità non è da ricondursi al mero aspetto fisico (come i sistemi tram treno) ma a tutti gli strumenti di mobilità (biglietti elettronici, sistemi informativi) Accessibilità ed ultimo miglio L’accessibilità deve essere valutata come elemento di efficienza e qualità: esigenze di sicurezza e contrasto all’evasione mal si conciliano con la fruibilità degli impianti appesantendo i costi di gestione. Le moderne tecnologie consentono di conciliare gli aspetti legati al governo della mobilità (AVM-AVL, biglietto elettronico, informazione real time all’utenza su pannelli e paline, APP e servizi Open Data). Gli impianti speciali trovano applicazione per ultimo miglio, tragitti condivisi (anche nelle stazioni) con persone con difficoltà motoria e con passeggino, percorsi a profilo planoaltimetrico complesso. Tipologie di impianti Gli impianti speciali trovano impiego, per loro natura, sia per brevi spostamenti che per implementare veri e propri «assi attrezzati» ad elevata capacità di trasporto: ascensori verticali o inclinati; sistemi traslatori-elevatori; funicolari; funivie urbane o rurali; sistemi a spintore; sistemi a cremagliera; people mover. -
