En cok konuşulan ikinci dil ise Ruscadir. bzellikle gencler ile İngilizce konuşarak anlaşabilirsiniz. Para Birimi: Resmi para birimi olarak UAH (Grivna) dir. 1 UAH / 20-24 Kuruş Turk lirasi. Yani 1 TL 4-5 UAH, 10 TL ise 40-50 UAH a denk gelmektedir. Bunlar yaklaşik rakamlar olup doviz kuruna endeksli olarak degişiklik gosterebilir. Kiev de Tl yi dogrudan UAH a ceviremezsiniz, o sebeple yaninizda Dolar ya da Euro bulundurmalisiniz. Saat Fark1: Turkiye ile arasinda saat farki bulunmamaktadir. Vize: Kiev e vizesiz seyahat edilebilmektedir. Hatta Kiev e pasaportsuz, yeni cipli kimlikler ile gelmek de mumkundur. Yeni cipli kimlik kartiyla giriş yapabilmek icin Ukrayna ya gelindiginde giriş kapisinda bir form doldurulmaktadir. Borispol Havalimanı’nin sehir merkezine olan mesafesi yaklasik 40 km'dir. Bu havalimanina, Turk Hava Yollari ile Ukraine Havayollarinin istanbul Ataturk Havalimani'ndan direkt ucuslari bulunmaktadir. Ayrica bu havalimanina Ukraine Havayollarinin Ankara Esenboga'dan direkt ucuslari da vardir. Diger havalimani olan Kiev Zhulyany HavaOiPaQı ise sehir merkezine yaklasik 10 km mesafededir. Ankara Esenboga'dan Pegasus Airlines ile direkt olarak ucus gerceklestirilebilmektedir. Kiev Borispol Havaalantndan sehir merkezine ulastm saglamak icin Skybus'lari tercih ederseniz metroya aktarma yapmaniz gerekmektedir. Skybus otobuslerinin bilet ucreti 60 UAH olup yaklasik olarak 12-14 Turk lirasina takabul etmektedir. Skybus otobusleri ile Kharkivska metro istasyonuna kadar gelip buradan metro ile sehrin merkezine (Palats Sportu) kolaylikla ulasabilirsiniz. Ayrica UKLON taksi secenegini kullanabilirsiniz. Kiev'de kullanabilecek en uygun sehir ici tasima araci metrodur. Sehirde uc adet metro agi bulunmaktadir. Maalesef her iki havalimanina da uzanan bir metro agi bulunmamaktadir. Maidan Nezalejnosti, Olimpiiska ve Ploscha Lva Tolstoho metro istasyonlari sehrin ana merkezinde mavi hat uzerinde bulunmaktadir. Yesil hat uzerinde bulunan Pecherska ve Palats Sportu metro istasyonlari da sehrin ana merkezindedir. Kongrenin yapilacagi universiteye ulasim saglamak icin Olimpiiska metro istasyonunda, kongrenin yapilacagi enstituye ulasmak icin ise Ploscha Lva Tolstoho istasyonunda inilmelidir. Her iki istasyon da mavi hat uzerinde bulunmaktadir. Metroya giris jetonu 5 UAH'dir. Turk Lirasi olarak 1.20 Kurusa tekabul etmektedir. YEME-iÇME Kiev genelinde Turk restauranti sayisi oldukca fazladir. Bunlar icinde Kiev'in tam merkezi sayilan Bagimsizlik Meydani (Maidan Nezalejnosti)'nin hemen karsisinda Turkish House adli restaurant bulunmaktadir. Burada serpme kahvalti dahi bulabilirsiniz. Turkish House'da Kongremize gelen katilimcilar icin %20 indirim uygulanacaktir. Hesap odeme esnasinda Kongre yaka kartinizi gostermeniz yeterli olacaktir. Ayrica Turkish House'un hemen yaninda yine Turkler tarafindan isletilen Meydan Restaurant bulunmaktadir. Kirim-Tatar lezzetlerini bulabileceginiz Musafir adli restaurant ise otantik bir yerdir. Bununla birlikte Kompot Cafe ise kompostosu ile meshurdur. OTEL-KONAKLAMA Kiev'de otellerin buyuk cogunlugu sehrin merkezinde bulunan Bagimsizlik Meydani (Maidan Nezalejnosti) ve Kresatik Caddesi cevresinde yer almaktadir. Take out a map of Kyiv and draw a big circle connecting Universytet, Kontraktova Plosha, Poshtova Plosha, Maidan, Klovska, and Olimpiiska metro stations. Roughly 90% of Kyiv expats live, work and play in this Right Bank oasis. And inside this circle you’ll find Zoloti Vorota, home to the unofficial diplomatic quarter, where about half the city’s embassies and consulates are located. And the Left Bank? Sure, some of us will trek out to Art Zavod Platforma for the Street Food Festival. Others will only get as far as Olmeca and Bora, Bora Beach Clubs on a summer day; and these places aren’t even on the Left Bank. To get our nature fix in the city, we’ll stroll, bike or picnic in Holosiivskiy and Feofania Parks. But these places are bright shiny islands in grey seas of (mostly) Khrushevkas and characterless new buildings that are well outside our comfort zones as expats in Kyiv. This paper focuses on distinctive features of accessibility, passenger flow and sustainability as regards public transport in Kyiv, Ukraine. In investigating the impacts of a transport system on city-dwellers a key concept is accessibility. The analysis included here identifies clear patterns to the individual factors that influence commuting time. Since the city’s system of public transport is underdeveloped, the main underlying factor is the presence of metro lines. An analysis of the metro passenger-traffic system con- firms the persistent presence of territorial disparities in the city’s transport network. Furthermore, levels of safety, environmental friendliness and comfort experienced gain reflection in a low level of consumer confidence in the city’s transport system, as well as its limited sustainability. Priority measures by which the current situation might be improved are therefore discussed. Keywords: public transport, accessibility, traffic flows, sustainability, Kyiv, Ukraine. Introduction In all countries, the sustainable and effective operations of systems of public transport represent key factors favouring harmonious socio-economic development. In a positive context they reflect high quality-of-life standards for citizens. In turn, differences in transport accessibility a popu- lation experiences reflects transport “injustice”, whereby all aspects of life in an urban or rural society can be affected. Key issues relating to the impacts of public transport systems include the mobility, comfort and safety of residents, and the search for ways in which the entire trans- port service system might be improved.
