Literature encompasses all aspects of human life as in love and affection, friendship and loyalty, self-sacrifice, justice and cruelty, manhood and humanity, are concepts that have been emphasized in various forms in the literature of different nations of the world. Poets and writers have endeavored to be heretics in the form of words and sentences and to promote these concepts and ideas to their community. Literature is still one of the most important identifiers of nations and ethnicities that no other factor has been able to capture. As a rich treasure trove of informative and educational material, Persian literature has played an important role in the development and reinforcement of social ideas and values in society, which this mission continues to do best. In this article, we attempt to explain the status of Persian literature and its importance. Keywords: language, literature, human, life, religion, culture. Layla and Majnun
Layla and Majnun also Leili o Majnun ,( ﻣﺠﻨﻮن ﻟﻴﻠﻰ :Layla and Majnun (Arabic is a narrative poem composed in 584/1188 ,( ﻟﻴﻠﻰ و ﻣﺠﻨﻮن :Persian) by the Persian poet Niẓāmi Ganjavi based on a semi-historical Arab story about the 7th century Nejdi Bedouin poet Qays ibn Al- Mulawwah and his ladylove Layla bint Mahdi (or Layla al- Aamiriya).[1][2][3][4] Nizami also wrote Khosrow and Shirin, a Persian tragic romance, in the 12th century. It is a popular poem praising their love story.[5][6][7] It is the third of his five long .(The Five Treasures) (ﭘﻨﺞ ﮔﻨﺞ :narrative poems, Panj Ganj (Persian Lord Byron called it “the Romeo and Juliet of the East.”[8] Qays and Layla fall in love with each other when they are young, but when they grow up Layla’s father doesn't allow them to be together. Qays becomes obsessed with her, and his tribe Banu Amir and the .crazy", lit" ﻣﺠﻨﻮن) community gives him the epithet of Majnūn "possessed by Jinn"). Long before Nizami, the legend circulated in anecdotal forms in Iranian akhbar. The early anecdotes and oral reports about Majnun are documented in Kitab al-Aghani and Ibn Qutaybah's al-Shi'r wal-Shu'ara'. The anecdotes are mostly very short, only loosely connected, and show little or no plot development. Nizami collected both secular and mystical sources about Majnun and portrayed a vivid picture of the famous lovers.[9] Subsequently, many other Persian poets imitated him and wrote their own versions of the romance.[9] Nizami drew influence from Udhrite love poetry, which is characterized by erotic abandon and attraction A miniature of Nizami's work. -

Published by SciPress Ltd, Switzerland, 2014 Taraz Al Akhbar in Persian Literature and Culture Mohammad Baqere Kamaladdini*, Morteza Ghiasi** Payame Noor University, Yazd, Islamic Republic of Iran *,**E-mail address: [email protected] , [email protected] ABSTRACT Taraz Al Akhbar, the effect of Abdel Nabi poetry and storytelling (1589-1980); is a collection of poem and prose texts that is valuable from the perspective of storytelling. This anthology has literary value for the sake of diversity of poem and prose texts, and it is an important source for many literary studies. In this article after the introducing the writer, the main framework of the book based on four categories of war, banquet, love, and agility, as well as the literary value was investigated. The prologue was noticed for consideration of invention of stories, story attribute, story teller, predominance of story teller, income and issues of story teller, and customs of appropriate reading. The overview of imagery in this effect, particularly; imageries, metaphors, exaggeration, and incorporation of noticeable description such as musical instruments, elephant, and Hippo, which were less seen in the Persian literature; was included in this article. The aim of this study was conducted to compare the two romantic stories of Persian's poem which one of them is Layla and Majnun poem belongs to the famous poet of the Persian language - Nizami Ganjavi - and the other is Layla and Majnun poem which is a poem's work belongs to Ghasemi Gonabadi who is such a good theoritests of Nizami in the tenth century AD . He has been written his masnavi of Layla and Majnun to emulate by Nizami. In this article, after the introducing of two poems and offering one summary of them into prose, the comparison of these two works has been conducted in the terms of the structure, content and stylistic- language. In addition, this article has been mentioned just in passing to the othertheoritests oin the tenth century AD who imitate Layla and Majnun by Nizami. -

BAHRAM GDR'S SPECTA GULAR MARKSMANSHIP AND THE ART OF ILLUSTRATION IN QAJAR LITHOGRAPHED BOOKS ULRICH MARZOLPH Bahram Gur, ruler of Persia from 420 to 438, in Persian legend, lit erature, and folklore is remembered as a pleasure-loving hero, famed most of all for his spectacular hunting feats. The stereotype attribute of legendary marksman is aptly illustrated by the anecdote about Bahram Gur and his favourite slave girl, who challenges him to shoot the foot and the ear of an onager with a single arrow. Bahram succeeds in doing so by first hitting the animal with a pebble, mak ing the onager scratch its ear with its hind leg. At that very moment, he shoots an arrow penetrating both leg and ear. 1 The basic content of this anecdote in variant readings is recorded in Arabic and Persian sources from the late ninth century.2 The ear liest known version, given in Ibn Qutayba's (died 276/889) 'Uyun al akhbiir, is a prose text of a few lines. Other versions which are more or less elaborated testify to the lasting prominence of the anecdote at least until the 16th century: in Arabic sources it is mentioned or alluded to by various authors of geographical, historical, and adab literature, such as Ibn al-Faqih, al-Tha'alibf, al-Raghib al-I~fahanf, Yaqilt, al-Zamakhsharf, al-Qazwfnf, al-Damfri, Ibn Iyas, and al Ibshfhf. Yet the versions most influential insofar as a popular reper cussion and spread of tradition are concerned are those in Persian poetry incorporated in Firdausf's (died probably 41111 020) Shiih niima and Ni:;;-:amf's (died 605/1209) Hafl paikar, the latter being imi tated numerous times in such widely appreciated versions as the ones by Amfr Khusrau Dihlavf (died 725/1325),3 Mfr 'Alf Shfr Nava'f (died 906/1501)/ or 'Abdallah Hatifi (died 927/1521).5 Through the 1 Khaleghi-Motlagh, "Azada"; Hanaway, "Bahram Gor".
