The report is designed to assist consumers with information on the quality of services provided by the airlines. The report is divided into four sections. These sections deal with flight delays, mishandled baggage, oversales and consumer complaints. Each section of the report is preceded by a brief explanation of how to read and understand the information provided. The report normally is released by the end of the first week of each month. If you are interested in obtaining a single copy, write to the Office of Aviation Enforcement and Proceedings, U.S. Department of Transportation, 400 7th Street, S.W., C-75/Room 4107, Washington, DC 20590. The report is also available via the Internet at http://www.dot.gov/airconsumer/. 3 FLIGHT DELAYS This section provides information about airline on-time performance and flight delays.
