Tel. +39 334 2386209 Preamble In these regulations and rules the masculine form is used to designate male and female genders. Route Start at the Cathedral Square in Brixen-South Tyrol (560 m). Flat running in part from Brixen to Milland (asphalt road), incline over Mellaun to St. Andrä/valley station of cable car (hiking and forest trail) – 1st changing station (1.060 m). Further on towards Afers – 2nd changing station (1.500 m), partly on hiking and forest trails and asphalt road near Schatzer Hut (1.990 m) and to Rossalm Hut (2.200 m) over to Kreuztal/summit station of cable car (2.050 m) – 3rd changing station. Hiking trail to Ochsenalm (2.080 m) and final ramp to the plateau at the Plose (2.450 m). Altitude difference: 2.450 m - Distance: 42,195 km – time limit: 8 hours - finish end: 3.30 p.m. Start Saturday, 3rd July 2020, 7.30 a.m. Cathedral Square Brixen Categories Marathon: W/M 18, 20, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70+. The first three of each category will be awarded. If until 30 th June there are not 5 participants for a category, the categories will be put together. Juniors go into the next higher category; all others go in the younger category. Participation permission Participants must be at least 18 year old on 3rd July 2021. Only well-trained runners can handle this alpine challenge. By signing the registration form the runner accepts the rules of this marathon as well as the regulations of the IAAF. For all regulations not mentioned in this invitation the international regulations of CONI and ICMR are applied. The runner certificates the possession of a valid medical certificate, valid on 3rd July 2021. This certificate must be sent until 30 th of June 2021 at the mail address [email protected] . We don’t accept individual declarations! Requirements: Member of an Athletic Federation recognized by the IAAF (membership card) Athletes, who are not member of an Athletic Federation, must present a Certificate of Health, valid on 3rd July 2021 (download at the homepage www.brixenmarathon.it) Health The Brixen Dolomites Marathon is an alpine challenge and is only suitable for highly-trained runners. We appeal to the own responsibility and the common sense of every participant. Every runner takes part of his own risk and responsibility. Doctors and duty along the route and the final runner (“sweeper bus”) are authorized to retire a runner from the race on medical grounds. If a competitor continues the race against a medical directive or run behind the official last control vehicle (“sweeper bus”), he does so at his own responsibility and without any entitlement to the marathon services. Registration a) The registration takes place online on www.brixenmarathon.com, it is completed with the payment of the starting fee. b) Alternatively there is the possibility to register in written via registration form, sent via e-mail at [email protected] . Only forms that are completely filled in and signed by the participant will be accepted. The registration is only valid after the payment of the starting fee. The payment can be effectuated a crossed bank transfer to: ASV Brixen Dolomiten Marathon, Raiffeisenkasse Eisacktal IBAN IT 79M 08307 58221 000300228826, SWIFT-BIC: RZSBIT21007 Reason: “BRIXEN DOLOMITEN MARATHON”, Name + date of birth A copy of the payment must be sent with the registration form to the organizers. The registration is only valid after the payment of the starting fee. Registration deadline Wednesday, 30 th July 2021, 7 p. m. From 3rd July 2021 registrations will only be possible on site at the marathon expo at the Cathedral Square in Brixen (from 1 p.m.). Participants who register within 31.05.2021 will receive a personalized starting number. Registration fee Marathon 11.11.2020 – 30.06.2021 € 69,00 Registration change/cancellation The transfer of an acquired starting place must be notified to the secretary until 30.06.2021. An administration charge of € 20,00 each will be levied. Changes of any kind are only possible until 30.06.2021. Further information at www.datasport.com. The organization will neither refund the starting fee nor credit it for the following year. Trail-Shoes The Organization Committee has the right to ask the athletes to wear Trail-shoes according to the weather conditions. In case the athlete doesn’t wear Trail-shoes at the start he will be disqualified from the Race Office – the registration fee won’t be paid back. Services Medal Diploma (online) Flower Ceremony, all women and men: 1st – 3th place Lending fee for the time measuring chip (transponder) Welcome Bag with several products Luggage transport Catering (adapted to Covid-19 regulations) Race day: the start number is valid as ticket for the cable car St. Andrä/Kreuztal/St. Andrä and for the transport from St. Andrä to Brixen (bus station) on indicated times ATTENTION: No shuttle from Kreuztal to Plose and return! Distribution of start numbers Cathedral Square Brixen: Friday, 2nd July 2021 from 1 to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 3rd July 2021 from 6 to 7 a.m. ATTENTION: The race number will only be given to the respective athlete in person, upon presentation of a valid identification document. Luggage transport Luggage transport to finish area should be handed over at starting area on 3rd July 2021 from 6.30 to 7.30 a.m. Prize giving ceremony Saturday, 3rd July 2021 Flower Ceremony at the finish (Plose) between 1 and 2 p.m. Saturday, 3rd July 2021 Award Ceremony at the Cathedral Square in Brixen at 6 p.m. Protest/Jury Within one hour after the finish, there is the possibility to lodge a protest at the Info-Point at the Cathedral Square in case of rule violations of other participants or against decisions of the race control. All witnesses named must appear. The protest fee is € 100. If the protest is lost, the fee remains with the organizer. Privacy With the registration every athlete approves the disclosure of his own sensitive data following the privacy rules. Moreover, the organizer can use pictures of the participants for promotion in national and international media (D.L. nr 196, ar. 2003). Insurance and liability The event organizer cannot be held responsible for any loss, inJury or damage to people or items. There is no liability for lost items. The event organizer refuses any liability for possible damage or accidents before, during and after the race. Place of Jurisdiction is Brixen. The official route cannot be left; the runner has to accept the orders of the track marshals. With the registration, every athlete declares: Insurance is the sole responsibility of the participant. Every athlete must be insured against accident . I recognize the organizers exclusion of liability for any damages. I declare to be well-prepared for this marathon, that I am healthy and that the personal details (name, age etc.) are correct. I know that it is forbidden to pass my personal number to another person without complying with the official transfer procedure. With the registration I agree the regulations and rules of the 11th Brixen Dolomites Marathon as well as any further modifications published on this homepage. Important Way back on foot to the summit station Kreuztal (25 minutes) with a beautiful foto-point. From Kreuztal by cable car to St. Andrä (ticket is the starting number) and from St. Andrä by bus (free at certain times) to the city of Brixen (bus station). In case of bad weather or dangerous conditions the event organizer has the right to change to an alternative, also homologated track. The race takes place in all weathers. The use of walking poles or other technical aid is not allowed . From Kreuztal (km 33,7) only the drought categories W/M 60 and older are allowed to use nordic walking poles.
