MARTA will open bids for construction of the Brookhaven Station Dec. 22. The station is located 8.6 miles north of the Five Points Station along the North Line between the Lenox and Chamblee stations in DeKalb County. The Brookhaven Station will be located on a 5.5-acre site north of the intersection of North Druid Hills Road and Peachtree Road. The site will be connected by a pedestrian tunnel under the railroad tracks. The station also has a free intermodal bus transfer area just to the east of the station structure, between the station and the railroad tracks. This area has stalls for five standard and two articulated buses and permits passengers to transfer from bus to rail without going through fare gates.
