Players predominantly use their feet to manipulate the soccer ball. Goalkeepers may use hands to make saves and distribute the soccer ball.

For a goal to be counted, the ball may not go over the outreached arms of the goalkeeper

Fouls Positions for CMS Soccer
Goalie: Is able to use hands in the penalty area. May throw, kick, or punt soccer ball
***Everyone must have played goalie before you are allowed to play goalie again!
Defender: Stays on the defensive half to prevent goals being scored by opponent
Midfielder: Is able to roam all areas of the field. Is responsible for linking the play from defenders to forwards.
Forward: Stays on the offensive half with the intention to score goals. Restarts
Kickoff: Starts the game. This is the proper restart if any goal is scored. Both teams must start on their sides and then advance to proper positions after kickoff.
Throw-In: When the ball goes out on the sideline or touchline
Goal Kick: When the ball goes over the endline last touched by an offensive player
Corner Kick: When the ball goes over the endline last touched by a defensive player
Penalty Kick: A direct shot versus the goalkeeper from approximately 12 yards out. This occurs when a defensive player fouls an opponent in the penalty area. Key Skills
