SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS FOR SUPERCARS

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS

1.1 EVENT TITLE, DATE & VENUE 1.1.1 The Event will be known as the “Watpac 400” (hereinafter referred to as “the Event”) which will also comprise races 17 and 18 of the 2018 Supercars Championship (“the VCS”), and be held at the Reid Park , Townsville, Queensland on 6th – 8th July 2018.

1.2 ORGANISATION & STATUS 1.2.1 The Event will be held under the International Sporting Code including Appendices of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the Supercars Operations Manual (“the Rules”), and any applicable National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (CAMS) which are not in conflict with the Rules, the Supplementary Regulations, any Further Supplementary Regulations or instructions and any Bulletins issued. 1.2.2 Event Status: Restricted International

1.5 CIRCUIT DETAILS 1.5.1 Track Length: 2.86 kilometres 1.5.2 Direction: Clockwise 1.5.3 Track Density: Supercars – 32 1.5.4 Notice Board: Located outside the Secretary of the Event’s office, adjacent to the race control complex. 1.5.5 Stewards Office: Located adjacent to the race control complex. 1.5.6 DRD Office: Located adjacent to the race control complex. 1.5.7 Control line: Located at the Finish Line and across Pit Exit.

ADMINISTRATION

2.1 ENTRIES 2.1.1 Competitors must have completed the 2018 Supercars Entry Registration Form. 2.1.2 Administration checking will commence at 1200hrs (AEST) on Wednesday 4th July 2018. 2.1.3 Any Competitor that needs to change or add any details contained in their 2018 Entry Registration Form must do so at the Supercars Operations Transporter prior to 1630hrs (AEST) on Thursday 5th July 2018. 2.1.4 No change of Drivers will be accepted later than 1630hrs (AEST) on Thursday 5th July 2018 unless exceptional circumstances, as determined by the Stewards, warrant a change after that time.

2.2 ACCREDITATION CARDS (PASSES) & TEAM PARKING 2.2.1 The Series Accreditation Cards will be recognised by the Organisers. 2.2.2 Accreditation will be required from Friday 6th July 2018. 2.2.3 Each entry will be allocated 1 VIP car pass and 3 Team car passes to park in the Townsville High School Car Park, access via First Street. The VIP pass will permit parking at the front of the car park. 2.2.4 Each Team caterer will be allocated 1 x transit car pass for the sole purpose of delivering supplies.

2.3 ACCREDITATION CENTRE OPENING HOURS 2.3.1 The accreditation centre is located on First Street at Townsville State High School (Stanton Lodge). 2.3.2 The accreditation centre will be open at the following times: 2.3.2.1 Wednesday 4th July 08:00 – 17:00 2.3.2.2 Thursday 5th July 08:00 – 17:00 2.3.2.3 Friday 6th July 07:30 – 17:00 2.3.2.4 Saturday 7th July 07:00 – 17:30 2.3.2.5 Sunday 8th July 07:00 – 16:00

TECHNICAL

3.1 SCRUTINEERING 3.1.1 Scrutineering will commence at 0830hrs on Friday 6th July 2018.

SPORTING

4.1 DRIVER CONDITIONS POLICY 4.1.1 In accordance with Rule D3.4.4, the nearest Town or City to the Circuit, as listed by the Bureau of Meteorology is Townsville: http://www.bom.gov.au/qld/forecasts/townsville.shtml

4.2 BRIEFINGS 4.2.1 A briefing for all Competitor’s Authorised Representatives will be held at 1700hrs (AEST) on Thursday 5th July 2018 in the Trackside lounge located at Pit Entry end of the Pit Building. 4.2.2 A briefing for all Competitors and Drivers will be held at 1810hrs (AEST) on Friday 6th July 2018 in the Trackside lounge located at Pit Entry end of the Pit Building.

4.3 TYRE FITTING, ALLOCATION AND USAGE 4.3.1 Control Tyre fitting will commence from 0900hrs (AEST) on Thursday 5th July 2018 in the Dunlop facility located in the Supercars paddock. 4.3.2 In accordance with the provisions of rule D17.7.5.2 handback tyres will be returned to the Team once stripped and marked by Dunlop. Once stripped from a control wheel, handback tyres are not to be refitted to a control wheel for the remainder of the Event.

OPERATIONS

5.1 ACCESS TO PADDOCK 5.1.1 The set-up of the Supercars paddock will be at the discretion of the Supercars Paddock Manager or their delegate. 5.1.2 Specific conditions and details of transporter movements into the Supercars paddock will be distributed directly by the Supercars Transport and Logistics Manager. These conditions and timeframes including any predetermined order must be adhered to. 5.1.3 Transporters must not enter the paddock before 1230hrs (AEST) on Wednesday 4th July 2018. 5.1.4 Teams are permitted to commence unloading their transporters at 1430hrs (AEST) or once all Supercars transporters are in their park up position after the transporter parade.

5.1.5 Passenger vehicles are not permitted to enter the Supercars paddock at any time during the Event. 5.1.6 Team caterer’s vehicles who have the required car pass are permitted to enter the Supercars paddock only to load or unload catering supplies.

5.2 TRUCK WASHING 5.2.1 Teams are not permitted to wash their transporters at the Circuit. 5.2.2 Truck washing facilities are available at Big Boys, Webb Drive, The Bohle (07) 4774 6634.

5.3 RACE TRACK WALK 5.3.1 Teams are permitted to undertake a Race Track walk between 1300hrs and 1500hrs on Thursday 5th July 2018.

5.4 STORAGE 5.4.1 It is not permitted to store anything under the stairs that lead up to the corporate facilities above the Pit Lane.

5.5 TRANSPORTER DEPARTURE AFTER THE EVENT 5.5.1 Unless otherwise advised by the Supercars Paddock Manager or their delegate, no Team transporter will be permitted to move from its allocated position or leave the Supercars paddock prior to 2000hrs (AEST) on Sunday 8th July 2018.

5.6 DRIVER’S BATH WATER 5.6.1 Teams are not permitted to drain Driver’s bath water at any time into the Paddock. will be draining Driver’s bath water from 1815hrs on Sunday 8th July at no charge to Teams. Teams that require this service must email Motorsport Operations by 29 June 2018. Baths should be setup towards the prime mover end.

MARKETING

6.1 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE 6.1.1 Teams must adhere to the activities outlined in the promotional schedule and/or any subsequent updates as provided by the Supercars Media and Promotions Department.

6.2 TRANSPORTER PARADE 6.2.1 The transporter parade will be held on Wednesday 4th July 2018. 6.2.2 The transporter parade schedule will be as follows: 6.2.2.1 1130hrs: All vehicle and transporter operators to attend a driver briefing, to be held on the corner of Webb Drive and Lorna Court, The Bohle. 6.2.2.2 1150hrs: Depart The Bohle. 6.2.3.7 Right Townsville Street Circuit

6.3 PRE-RACE DRIVER REQUIREMENT 6.3.1 On Sunday, prior to race 18, all Drivers will be required at the front of the grid at 1550hrs (AEST) for the Prayer and National Anthem.

SPECIFIC CIRCUIT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

7.1 EVENT OPERATING HOURS 7.1.1 The Event operating hours for the purpose of Rule E2 are as follows: 7.1.1.1 Friday 6th July 08:25 – 17:45 7.1.1.2 Saturday 7th July 09:25 – After VCS race 17 7.1.1.3 Sunday 8th July 08:35 – After VCS race 18

7.2 MEDICAL SERVICES 7.2.1 The Medical Centre is located at pit entry and will be operational during the following times: 7.2.1.1 Thursday 5th July 09:00 – 17:00 7.2.1.2 Friday 6th July 07:00 – 18:00 7.2.1.3 Saturday 7th July 07:00 – 18:00 7.2.1.4 Sunday 8th July 07:00 – 18:00 7.2.2 Any medical assistance that is required outside of the operating hours outlined in 7.2.1, please contact 000. The address to give to Emergency Services is: “Your Specific Location” Eg: Garage 1, Townsville Street Circuit, Reid Park, Boundary Street, Townsville, QLD 4810. Alternatively, attend casualty at The Townsville Hospital, 100 Angus Smith Drive, Douglas (07) 4433 1111.

7.6 GOLF BUGGIES 7.6.1 No golf buggies are permitted in the paddock. They can be parked outside of Paddock Gate 2, which is the gate at the rear of the paddock. 7.6.2 Any person that is planning on using a golf buggy in the venue will need to complete the Site Vehicle Requirements Form and return it to the Accreditation Centre to register their buggy. If approved, a sticker will be allocated for the buggy, which must be displayed at all times across the Event.

7.7 HEALTH AND SAFETY 7.7.1 In line with the Queensland Health and Safety Act, the Supercars Paddock will be a smoke-free zone for the duration of the Event.

7.8 UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES (UAV) PROHIBITION 7.8.1 Be advised that the use (operation) of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), drones, or other similar devices, by any Competitor, Team, Team member or person/s associated with a Team or Competitor is prohibited. 7.8.2 This prohibition extends for the period of the Event defined as the Event period over the Event area defined as the Event area. 7.8.3 It also includes the prohibition of the use (operation) of any unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), drone or similar device from outside the declared area of the Event over the declared area during the Event period. 7.8.4 A breach of this prohibition will result in the exclusion from the Event for any offending Competitor and or Team and Driver/s. All credentials or admission tickets issued to any offending Competitor or Team, and associated personnel will also be withdrawn. 7.8.5 The prohibition and Penalty for a breach of same as outlined above, is in addition to any Penalty/Penalties that may occur as a result of Civil Aviation Authority (CASA) regulations in relation to the use of UAVs in controlled airspace, and over areas containing significant numbers of people.
