Juan Manuel Fangio took the Drivers’ title with the team, before repeating the feat in 1955. Following a lengthy break, Mercedes rejoined the F1 grid as an engine supplier from 1994 onwards, but returned as a fully- fledged manufacturer team in 2010 with Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg. The Silver Arrows finished the year P4 in the standings, doing so again in 2011 and finishing P5 in 2012. The following year saw Mercedes return to winning ways and finish runner-up in the Championship with Rosberg and new driver Lewis Hamilton. Major regulation changes took F1 in a new direction, with hybrid power units being brought in for 2014. Mercedes got the formula right and stormed to the Constructors’ title, with Lewis Hamilton taking his second Drivers’ Championship. The team’s dominance continued in 2015, with Lewis winning another title, before Rosberg secured his first Drivers’ Championship in 2016 and announced his retirement from F1 just a few days later. Valtteri Bottas was picked as Rosberg’s replacement and joined the team for 2017, a year that debuted drastically different aerodynamic regulations. For many years, it has also been the only team to build every part of its racing cars in house: chassis, engine, gearbox, suspension. At the end of 2017, Ferrari held 15 Drivers’ and 16 Constructors’ titles. It also holds the records for the greatest number of wins (229), pole position (2013) and number of fastest laps (244). A total of 74 drivers have raced officially for Ferrari in Formula 1, 38 of them have won at least one Grand Prix. It should be pointed out that the World Constructor’s title was only established in 1958. Had it been created in the same year as the Drivers’ title, Ferrari would have won it in 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954 and 1956, too. Yuji Kunimoto i Nicolas Lapierre dołączą do zespołu w wyścigach na torze Spa-Francorchamps i w Le Mans. Nie wyobrażałem sobie, że pewnego dnia będę mógł dołączyć do zespołu takiego jak TOYOTA GAZOO Racing w wyścigu Le Mans, dlatego jestem zdeterminowany, by jak najlepiej skorzystać z tej szansy. Podobały mi się pierwsze testy za kierownicą TS050 Hybrid, który jest naprawdę imponującym samochodem. Klasa LMP1 i wyścigi długodystansowe w Europie to dla mnie nowość, więc ciężko pracuję, żeby jak najwięcej się nauczyć od kolegów.     News Release Formula 1 Champion Puts Formula Student into Pole Position David Coulthard gets in the driving seat at FS10 at Silverstone Thursday 15 July Europe‟s biggest student motorsport competition launched with a bang with racing legend David Coulthard dropping in for a flying visit at the Silverstone-based event. He was taken on a tour of the garages at Formula Student, now in its 13th year and run by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). He agreed to come on a whistle-stop tour to see the new wave of engineering talent on display and then took part in a Q&A session where he was joined by Andrew Shovlin, Senior Race Engineer at MERCEDES GP PETRONAS, Bob Bell, Managing Director of Renault F1 Team and Nick Wirth, Technical Director of Virgin Racing. David, who has taken no less than 13 grand prix wins in his F1 career, said: “This is the first time I have visited Formula Student and the level of engineering talent here is amazing.” He visited, amongst others, University of Hertfordshire‟s electric car and one designed by Germany‟s, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. FS is an educational motorsport event which challenges engineering students to design and build a single-seater racing car from scratch. This is the biggest event in its history with circa 3,000 students from nearly 30 countries. There are about 100 cars on display running on anything from petrol, E85, electric and hybrid.     PR Document 2020 Japanese Super Formula Championship Series Media Information August 27 2020 1 Super Formula : Then and Now In the 1950s, the Fédération Internationale de I’Automobile (FIA) launched the Drivers’ Championship to find the world’s fastest formula car drivers the purest form of racing machine. That ethos was passed on to all FIA national member organizations.Top-level formula motor racing has been held in Japan in various forms since 1973, when Formula 2000 was first launched. The competition evolved into Formula Two in 1978 and then Formula 3000 in 1987. Japan Race Promotion, Inc. (JRP) was established in 1995 and continued carrying the competition torch in 1996 under the name of Formula Nippon. In 2013, the name of the competition was changed again to Japanese Championship Super Formula and a bold plan was implemented to upgrade the race cars and lift the profile of the competition with the clear aim of spreading the appeal of Super Formula from Japan to other parts of Asia. Another hope was to turn the series into a third great open-wheel racing competition to go along with Formula One and IndyCar. The competition’s name was changed again in 2016 to Japanese Super Formula Championship. In 2017, BS Fuji began broadcasting live Super Formula races, giving many motorsport fans the chance to watch championship races on free-to-air television. In the early days, formula racing in Japan was led by top drivers such as Kunimitsu Takahashi, Kazuyoshi Hoshino and Satoru Nakajima, who later competed on the global stage in Formula One.

    Press Kit 2018 // introduction Launched in 2016 by Renault Sport Racing and Renault Sport Formula One Team, the Renault Sport Academy is tasked with discovering and nurturing young driver talent through the racing ranks, where, ultimately, Renault Sport Formula One Team aims to find drivers able to deliver the team world championship titles. Drivers are selected on ability and potential, with the Academy able to draw upon Renault Sport Racing’s vast experience in motorsport as well as its global markets to find such talent. Mia Sharizman manages the programme and has a range of experience in motorsport including at Formula 1, Formula 2 and GP3 level. For 2018, the Academy has retained four drivers from its 2017 intake. Jack Aitken, a member since its inception in 2016, signs for a third year, as does Sun Yue Yang. Max Fewtrell and Christian Lundgaard both impressed in their first seasons with the Academy and both remain for a second year. The Academy is delighted to welcome three new drivers to the programme. As part of his prize for winning the highly-competitive Formula Renault Eurocup, Sacha Fenestraz has agreed to accept a place with the Academy. Arthur Rougier, winner of the 2017 French Formula 4 Championship, is on-board for 2018, alongside Victor Martins, runner-up to Arthur in his rookie season of single-seater racing. Four members will go wheel to wheel in the Formula Renault Eurocup in 2018 with Max, Christian, Arthur and Victor all set to contest the exciting series that races on nine Grand Prix circuits, including the streets of Monaco.
