If a competition licence is required, membership of a CAMS-affiliated car club which is able to conduct competitions is necessary. An applicant who wishes to compete in more than one discipline (e.g. circuit and rally) must have each discipline endorsed on their licence. GRANT OF LICENCE CAMS is entitled to issue a competition licence to: (a) its nationals; and (b) a national of another country represented on the FIA in compliance with the following mandatory conditions: LICENCES Last updated: 01/01/2019 1 © Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd. All use subject to Conditions of Use at www.cams.com.au (i) that their parent ASN (the country of their passport) gives its prior agreement to the issuing which may only take place once a year and in special cases; (ii) that they produce to their parent ASN a proof of permanent residence in Australia; and (iii) that their parent ASN has recovered any licence originally issued. For details and special conditions, see the FIA International Sporting Code (ISC) at the FIA website. No person authorised by their parent ASN to apply for a licence issued by CAMS shall hold a licence from their parent ASN valid for the current year. 2. TYPES OF COMPETITION LICENCE CAMS is entitled to issue the following types of competition licence: (a) International (i) Competitor licence (ii) Driver licence (iii) Licence for participants with disabilities (b) National (i) Competitor licence (ii) Driver licence (iii) Navigator licence 3. RESTRICTIONS ON THE HOLDING OF A COMPETITION LICENCE (a) A person may only hold one driver/navigator licence issued by CAMS at any time. (b) A person or body may only hold one competitor licence issued by CAMS at any time. 4. COMPETITION LICENCE EXPIRY DATE (a) At first issue, each competition licence, except international, shall be given a 12-month expiry date. This shall become the permanent expiry date. (b) Each International licence shall expire on 31 December in accordance with the ISC. 5. LICENCE PHOTOGRAPH - CLUBMAN, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LICENCES Each licence application (not renewal) must be accompanied by a current passport-size photograph. The photograph must be renewed every 10 years. 6. CAMS MANUAL OF MOTOR SPORT (a) Each competition licence holder shall be entitled to receive the CAMS Manual of Motor Sport which includes the NCR. (b) The complete regulations of CAMS are available from the CAMS website. 7. MEDICAL FITNESS (a) A copy of the CAMS Medical Standards is available from the CAMS website. (b) Each applicant for a driver or navigator competition licence must comply with the CAMS Medical Standards relevant to their competition level. Where an applicant does not meet these standards, medical reports will be referred to a CAMS Medical Assessor for a decision on competition fitness. (c) Should any medical condition become evident during the currency of the licence the holder shall notify CAMS. It may become necessary for the licence to be withdrawn and may only be reinstated following further medical examination as determined by CAMS. All use subject to Conditions of Use at www.cams.com.au 7.1 International Competition Licence Refer to the FIA ISC. 7.2 PCC, CC, PC, NC (Circuit Racing and Historic) and PSKJ, PSK, NSKJ, NSK (Superkart) and NOS (Off Road Stadium) Licence (a) Prior to first issue, an applicant for any of these licences shall be required to be medically examined by a General Practitioner. (b) Any applicant over 45 years of age shall be required to undergo a medical examination every second year, unless annual medical examinations are requested by the CAMS Medical Assessor. (c) CAMS medical reports must be completed and be forwarded with the licence application to the CAMS Member Services department. 7.3 CRN, CR, NRNJ, NRN, NRJ, NR (Rally) and CONJ, CON, COJ, CO, NONJ, NON, NOJ, NO (Off Road);and Speed, Junior Speed, and Non Speed, Junior Non Speed Licence: Each applicant shall complete a Health Statement which forms part of the licence application. 8. LICENCE FEE Any Competition licence fee shall be payable in accordance with the Schedule of Fees (Appendix R) available from the CAMS website. 9. DISCRETION The granting of a licence or the upgrading of a licence is at the sole discretion of CAMS. 10. REFUSAL OF LICENCE CAMS may refuse to issue a licence and may make such endorsement as it sees fit on a licence without stating any reasons for doing so. 11. WITHDRAWAL OF LICENCE CAMS may withdraw a licence in accordance with the NCR in which case the licence must be returned to CAMS within two working days. 12. VALIDITY OF LICENCE (a) A driver or navigator licence issued by CAMS is valid only when the holder is a current member of a CAMS affiliated club (other than any affiliated Enthusiast Club) demonstrated by the production of a valid club membership. (b) With the approval of CAMS and in accordance with the ISC, the holder of an international licence issued by CAMS may compete in competitions appearing on the FIA International Sporting Calendar. Additionally, any holder of a National or international licence issued by CAMS may participate in national level events in another country at the discretion of the ASN authorising the event and issue of a visa by CAMS. 13. COMPETITION LICENCE PASSBOOK (a) Each competition licence card shall be issued with a Competition Licence Passbook to enable any activity record relevant to the licence to be recorded by an official/s at an event. (b) This passbook must accompany the licence card at all times. 14. PRODUCTION OF LICENCE (a) A competition licence holder must shall produce their licence card and passbook on the request of a relevant official at an event. (b) However, the Stewards may permit a licence holder to participate without producing their licence card upon the payment of a fine; provided the Stewards are satisfied a valid licence is held. All use subject to Conditions of Use at www.cams.com.au (c) Production of a licence card but not a passbook shall not result in refusal to participate or the imposition of a fine by the Stewards. 15. DRUGS IN SPORT Each holder of a CAMS competition licence agrees to comply at all times with the CAMS Anti-Doping, Illicit Drugs (Safety Testing), Alcohol and Competition-Fixing policies. 16. LICENCE GRADES AND CRITERIA Refer to each discipline criteria Table in Appendix A. 17. CAMS SUPERLICENCE (a) Each Driver in the Supercars Championship must hold a CAMS Superlicence in addition to the minimum of an International Grade C licence. (b) An application must be submitted to CAMS Member Services on the approved form. (c) To qualify for a CAMS Superlicence each applicant must satisfy the following criteria: (i) Hold a minimum of an International Grade C licence; and (ii) Be a minimum of 17 years of age; and LICENCES Last updated: 01/01/2019 4 © Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd. All use subject to Conditions of Use at www.cams.com.au (iii) Accumulate a minimum of 13 points under either the FIA (refer ISC Appendix L) or CAMS Superlicence points system during the 5 years prior to the application; or (iv) Be one of the first six (6) of the final classification of the previous year’s Super2 Series.

In excess of 200 members and guests attended the luncheon for an afternoon of high octane entertainment to coincide with the Crownbet Darwin Triple Crown round of the V8 Supercars Championship held at Hidden Valley racetrack.
