HMMH prepared the 2019 noise exposure contours using FAA approved data.
The contours have slightly shrunk due to small changes in runway use, reductions in departures at night and increase use of quieter aircraft. This is a decrease of approximately 20 percent compared to 2018 (14,713 people DNL 65 dB or greater).
In 2019, the estimated number of people exposed to DNL (Day-Night Average Sound Levels) exceeding the federal guideline of DNL 65 dB decreased by approximately 20% compared to 2018 (14,713 people in 2018 and 11,792 people in 2019)
The total area within the DNL 65 dB decreased from 4.30 square miles in 2018 to 3.95 square miles in 2019. OPEN DISCUSSION AND QUESTIONS Adjourn
