Northeast Ohio was a part of AND CIRCLE LIVING CENTER GUIDE Connecticut’s Western Reserve. In 1795, the Connecticut Land Company sent General Moses Wade Oval Museum Cleaveland to survey and layout Campus townships in the Western Reserve, including Cleveland.
University Circle’s first settler was Uptown Nathaniel Doan, the only member of the surveying party to settle here. Doan came to University Dear Visitor, Circle in 1799.
