Institute of Higher Education Policy (IHEP) Project Consultant April 2012-August 2012 Assisted with the coordination of the pre-launch and launch activities for PolicyDirect, a searchable website that contains articles and selected summaries of seminal and leading- edge research for a policy-focused audience. Drafted and prepared all correspondence for 2011 and 2012 Academic Fellows. Participated in the identification and recruitment of 2012 Academic Fellows.

University of Virginia, September 2009-August 2012 Assistant Dean of Admissions, Office of Undergraduate Admissions August 2011-August 2012 Advocated for and increased the access of students from low-income backgrounds. Served as a liaison with the Student Financial Services department for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Assisted with the planning and implementation of on- and off-Grounds recruiting activities for minority and low-income groups. Evaluated applications for admission and merit-based aid. Presented informational sessions on the University of Virginia and the undergraduate admissions process. Traveled and recruited extensively in Virginia, the District of Columbia, the Midwest, and the Southeast. Personally met with approximately 3200 students annually. Served on hiring committees.

National College Advising Corps, June 2008-September 2009 College Adviser, Virginia College Advising Corps (previously College Guide Program) June 2008-September 2009 Developed programming for students and their families to increase awareness of post- secondary options. Helped and mentored over 300 students with college admission, financial aid, and scholarship applications. Implemented an afterschool SAT tutoring program. Coordinated discounted visits to colleges and throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia for low-income students.

Summer Trainer, Virginia College Advising Corps June 2009-August 2009 Developed, planned, and executed the for training new College Advisers. Created the summer programming including speaker selection and topic development. Supervised the new cohort of College Advisers.
