A FULL WEEKEND OF HISTORIC FORMULA ONE RACING AT ONE OF THE UK’S BEST CIRCUITS MASTERS HISTORIC FORMULA ONE WEEKEND RACEDAY 1 - FRIDAY 2 APRIL 2021 DONINGTON PARK OFFICIAL DIGITAL PROGRAMME TIMETABLE WELCOME RACEDAY 1 - FRIDAY 2 APRIL 2021 elcome to Donington Park for two-days of Masters Historic WRacing! This event marks the resumption of racing in the UK for this year as well as the start of the Masters 2021 UK & European Tour. We can’t wait to get back on-track after a long winter and enforced break since we raced at Zandvoort last September. 09:05 CLASSIC FORMULA 3 QUALIFYING 20 MINS Donington Park is always a popular venue for our drivers so we are delighted 09:35 MASTERS HISTORIC SPORTS CARS QUALIFYING 35 MINS to be back with five of the Masters race grids, the Masters Single-Seaters plus invited grids from HSCC Classic Formula 3 and Formula 2. Sadly, our entry 10:20 GENTLEMEN DRIVERS QUALIFYING 35 MINS lists for this event are very-UK based as the current travel restrictions have meant that a number of our European and American Teams are unable to 11:05 MASTERS HISTORIC FORMULA ONE QUALIFYING 25 MINS join us at the moment. They will be missed this weekend but we hope we have some great racing and grids nonetheless! This home race for us is all 11:40 MASTERS ENDURANCE LEGENDS QUALIFYING 30 MINS about our drivers getting back out in their cars to enjoy them and share them - it should be a relaxing weekend of historic motor racing at a great UK circuit! 12:25 CLASSIC FORMULA 3 (R1) RACE 1 20 MINS The timetable for the 2-days is a little different to a normal weekend at the 12:45 LUNCH BREAK - 50 MINS moment but we hope you will enjoy it! The Masters Endurance Legends and Masters Historic Formula will be out on track on both days, providing some 13:50 MASTERS HISTORIC SPORTS CARS RACE 2 60 MINS great noise and emotive car liveries. On Friday, we have bumper grids from the Masters Historic Sports Cars, showcasing sports car racing from the late 15:05 CLASSIC FORMULA 3 (R2) RACE 3 20 MINS RON 60s and early 70s, Gentlemen Drivers for the Pre-66 GT cars and the Classic Formula 3. On Saturday, the timetable switches over to welcome into the mix MAYDON the Masters Pre-66 Touring cars, HSCC Formula 2 and some later single seater 15:45 MASTERS HISTORIC FORMULA ONE RACE 4 25 MINS history with the Masters Single Seater Demos! FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT 16:30 MASTERS ENDURANCE LEGENDS RACE 5 40 MINS MASTERS HISTORIC RACING As a Historic Formula One racer myself, I can’t wait to line up alongside the other DFV-powered F1 icons this weekend. Those cars are a passion and 17:25 GENTLEMEN DRIVERS RACE 6 90 MINS Donington is a great circuit for these cars - we hope you will enjoy the sight and sound of them racing this weekend along with the other action! A day out at one of our venues will feel a little different to before, but all the Clare Morden changes we are introducing have the safety of visitors, and that of our staff, as our top priority. SAFEGUARDING OFFICER SUPERPRIX Until at least the end of July, visitors can only come for the day – no camping is available for the public. Abstract: The Karl E. Ludvigsen papers 1905-2011 contain his extensive research files, photographs, and prints on a wide variety of automotive topics. The papers reflect the complexity and breadth of Ludvigsen’s work as an author, researcher, and consultant. Approximately 70,000 of his photographic negatives have been digitized and are available on the Revs Digital Library. Thousands of undigitized prints in several series are also available but the copyright of the prints is unclear for many of the images. Ludvigsen’s research files are divided into two series: Subjects and Marques, each focusing on technical aspects, and were clipped or copied from newspapers, trade publications, and manufacturer’s literature, but there are occasional blueprints and photographs. Some of the files include Ludvigsen’s consulting research and the records of his Ludvigsen Library. Scope and Content Note: The Karl E. Ludvigsen papers are organized into eight series. The series largely reflects Ludvigsen’s original filing structure for paper and photographic materials. Series 1. Subject Files [11 filing cabinets and 18 record center cartons] The Subject Files contain documents compiled by Ludvigsen on a wide variety of automotive topics, and are in general alphabetical order.
