Award of School Transport Contracts

Followingthe recent procurement round for school transport, I am pleased to offer you the following contracts. You will need to indicate your acceptance, in writing, but only after carefully reading this email.

School Contract No Daily Price Yale College, Wrexham D992A

Please note that in accordance with the Public Contracts (Amendments) Regulations 2009 (No. 2992), this award is subject to the statutory 12-day cooling-off period. This means unsuccessful suppliers may challenge the award decision. Suppliers have until 2359 on Wednesday 5th February 2014 to demonstratea legal challenge after which, subject to the County Council, there can be a formal final award.

The Contract is due to commence on 3rd March 2014. Please ensure that you have contacted parents and the school well ahead of this date. Each individual award is based upon price, which accounts for 100 per cent.

Where you have submitteda bid for other contract(s) and were unsuccessful, you can find details of the winning supplier on the attached document. For such contracts, should you wish to contest the award, you have until 2359 on Wednesday 5th February 2014 to demonstrate a legal challenge after which, subject to the County Council, there can be a formal final award.

You may still be in line to gain further contracts. It may be that, following the formal award process, some suppliers throw back one or more contracts. If this is the case, the award may pass to the supplier whose price is next in line, and so on. The County Council reserves the right not to award all such contracts to the second or other lowest tenderers.

I'm pleased to confirm that you were successful. Depending upon demand, you will either need a vehicile for Nantglyn+town or just the town, priced as follows:

Option 1 Nantglyn+town = £45 Option 2 Town = £30

I am unsure of the demand at Nantglyn and I therefore will need to monitor this closely. The contract is till February 2014 but, depending upon usage in the light of the new rural areas, I may need to consider it sooner.
