Due to current rains, wilting can be seen in the redgram due to heavy moisture in the soil PIGEON PEA and the excess water should be removed from the field. Inter cultivation should be done. (RED GRAM) Current rains are conducive to the germination of grassy and broad leaf weeds in redgram crop. The weed control should be done with a gorru between the crop rows. • Current rains enhances the weeds which were become major problem in direct seeded rice, hence apply nominee gold 80-100 ml per acre in 200 liters of water. Present weather is congenial to top dress chemical fertilizers to direct seeded rice crop. Hence apply chemical fertilizer without loosing the moisture • Present weather conditions are favourable to increase rat population and causes the damage to rice hence rat traps @ RICE 20 per acre may be arranged in the standing fields. Strengthen the field bunds against the loss of water from the field through the eroded bunds due to recent rains. • Spray pyrazosulufyuran ethyl @80-100 grams per acre at 8-12 days after transplanting. Spray hexaconazole@400 ml/ac or validamycin @400 ml/ac or propiconazole @ 200 ml/ac or azaxystrobin @ 200 ml/ac against sheath blight in direct seeded rice. • Drain out the excess water from the field, if soil and crop conditions are favourable takeup the inter cultivation with gorru/guntaka • Due to excess moisture in the cropped field, plants may fail to absorb the soil nutrients that lead to square and boll dropping, to recover the crop from the excess moisture stress spray 2% urea or 1% KNO3 solution 2-3 times at 4 COTTON or 5 days interval. • Due to excess moisture square rotting is the major problem in cotton to recover the crop from the rotting Copper oxy chloride@ 3 gm+ 1 mg streptocyclin by

mixing in one liter of the water. • Farmers are suggested to install pheromone traps against pink bollworm infestation • As the rains are appearing sucking pests may washout, don’t go for sprayings to control the sucking pest unless the pest population is serious. Horticulture Specific Advisory: Horticulture Horticulture Specific Advisory (Varieties) Remove the excess rain water immediately from the fields if present rains may lead to water logging. Due to the current heavy rains in the seedling stage, the seedlings should be CHILLI sprayed with 3g (coparoxychloride per liter of water) to control seed rot on the 9th and 15th day after transplanting. Recommended fertilizers should be applied if this moisture is suitable for chemical application.
