About Taipei
Taipei City is the capital of Taiwan (R.O.C). It is the political, economic, and cultural center of Taiwan, 271.8 square kilometers in area, with approximately 2.72 million people. Taipei is located on the northern tip of the island of Taiwan and is known for historical heritage sites such as National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, National Palace Museum, and Lungshan Temple as well as the landmark skyscraper - TAIPEI 101. Besides it, Taipei has many night markets, the most famous of which is the Shilin Night Market. Today, Taipei is becoming the biggest tourist city in Taiwan.
