John Cox’s Creature Workshop is internationally acclaimed as Australia’s leading specialist in the concept, design and manufacture of realistic animatronic or static animals, characters and fantasy creatures for film and TV. JCCW has a range of skills and services including in-house design, maquette sculpting, laser scanning and computer aided manufacture that allow productions to achieve a consistent level of excellence. Our team of world class sculptors, animatronic technicians, puppeteers and other artisans ensure the highest quality finish on all of our creatures great and small. Awarded a 1995 Visual Effects Academy Award for 'Babe' and a 2007 AFI Visual effects award for ‘Rogue’, John is a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and is currently Queensland’s Smart State ambassador for the Creative Arts. Based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, John Cox’s Creature Workshop have worked for productions shot in Australia, Germany, South Africa, Hong Kong, New Zealand, South Korea, India and Slovakia. Clients include Walden Media, Disney, Universal and Warner Bros.
