(2017・18 to 2019・20) ANDHRA PRADESH SUBMI '% '% ) (((!&&"#$ PREFACE The Special Commissioner, Department of Agriculture, Government of Andhra Pradesh has entrusted the task of preparing the State Agriculture Plan (SAP), District Agriculture Plans (DAPs) and the State Agriculture Infrastructure Plan (SAIDP) under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) - Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture & Allied Sectors Rejuvenation (RAFTAAR) Guidelines to M/s. Andhra Pradesh Productivity Council (APPC). Andhra Pradesh Productivity Council (APPC), an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Organization, is an autonomous tri-partite non-profit making body established in the Year 1958 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. This plan has been prepared by taking inputs from various stakeholders such as Farmers, Department officials at Head Quarters & District Offices, Academic Institutions (Universities), Farmer Society Representatives and others representing the Agriculture and Allied sectors. Besides gathering information through the Standard Formats, series of Meetings & Consultations were imparted so as to incorporate the Suggestions and Aspirations of all the stakeholders. A thorough Analysis and Drafting of the plans were done by the Empanelled Eminent Scientists and Experts specialized in agriculture and allied sectors in association with Andhra Pradesh Productivity Council. This involved an Integrated and Participatory Informal approach, duly prioritizing the Technical / Scientific Interventions that suits the Geographical / Agri - Climatic Situations for the Practical and Pragmatic Growth of the Primary sector in the State of Andhra Pradesh. After detailed analysis, District Agricultural Plan (DAP) for the entire 13 Districts, Consolidated State Agricultural Plan (SAP) for the period 2017 -18 to 2019 – 20 was prepared, coinciding with the State Government’s Action plan for achieving the Desired Mission Targets. In addition to the Production Plans, keeping in-view of the existing Infrastructure and requirement of the Agriculture & Allied Sector Departments, a State Agriculture Infrastructure Plan (SAIDP) has been prepared for driving the desired production Targets. The emphasis was laid on gathering information from Grass-Root level on the Farm and Non-Farm sector prospects. The plans were designed, location and sector specific strategies and interventions for bringing in holistic and sustainable development of agriculture and allied sectors in Andhra Pradesh. In the newly-formed state of Andhra Pradesh, the great visionary and the driving force of Amaravati, destined to become one of the World Class Capital, Honourable Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, is spearheading the transformation of challenges into opportunities and success by launching innovative schemes and missions, especially for the well being of the Agriculture and Allied Sectors. In this Juncture, the State Agriculture Plan (SAP), District Agriculture Plans (DAPs) and State Agriculture Infrastructure Development Plan (SAIDP) will be of immense help for achieving the Earmarking Double Digit Growth (DDG) in all the Primary sectors. We sincerely thank the Honourable Minister of Agriculture, Sri Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy for his dedication and commitment in transforming the Agriculture and Allied Sectors more economically feasible and viable for the farmers in the State of Andhra Pradesh.     10/31/2018 District Irrigation Profiles IRRIGATION PROFILE OF ANANTAPURAMU DISTRICT *Click here for Ayacut Map INTRODUCTION Ananthapuramu District is situated in Rayalseema region of Andhra Pradesh state and lies between 13°-40'N to 15°-15'N Latitude and 76°-50'E to 78°-30'E Longitude with a population of 40,83,315 (2011 census). One of the famous spiritual center in this district is Puttaparthi and it is 80Km. away from Ananthapuramu. The District falls partly in Krishna basin and partly in Pennar basin. The District is surrounded by Bellary, Kurnool Districts on the North, Kadapa and Kolar Districts of Karnataka on South East and North respectively. The district is principally a hot country and temperatures vary from 17°C-40°C. The important rivers flowing in the District are (1) Pennar (2) Jayamangali (3) Chitravathi (4) Vedavathi (also called Hagari), (5) Papagni, (6) Maddileru. The district head quarter is connected by S.C. Railways broad gauge railway line from Secunderabad, Guntakal, Bangalore and Bellary (Via) Guntakal to Pakala. Most of the area in this District is covered under Minor Irrigation Sources only in addition to one completed Major Irrigation Project viz., Tungabhadra Project High level canal (TBP HLC) system stage-I (A joint venture of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh States). The Right Bank High level canal (R.B.H.L.C.) takes off from right bank of T.B. Dam and runs in Karnataka and enters in Andhra Pradesh at Km. 105.437 and contemplated to irrigate an ayacut of 2.849 Lakh acres out of this 1,45,236 acres in Ananthapuramu district and remaining is Kurnool and Kadapa District.

    White Paper on Natural Resources Management 1. Important achievements since 2014: 1.1 After analyzing the deficiencies in Jalayagnam projects, Government adopted 3 pronged strategy - Water conservation, River Linkage including Completion of pending projects and Water Management including micro irrigation to achieve the vision of making the state drought proof and to provide water security to all its Citizens. To overcome spreading out of expenditure thinly over large number of projects taken up under Jalayagnam, Government prioritized certain projects which will realize maximum benefits with the available funds to complete them in a time bound manner. 1.2 An Expenditure of Rs.63,657.52 Crore is incurred in Water Resources Sector and irrigation facilities are provided to an extent of 32.02 Lakh acres including stabilization. 1.3 Polavaram Project: Government have given highest importance for the completion of the project, which is the lifeline of the state. Total Expenditure incurred is Rs. 15,363.79 Crores, out of which Rs. 10,227.92 Crores is incurred after 1.4.2014. Government of India reimbursed only Rs. 6,727.264 Cr. and Rs. 3500.66 Cr. is yet to be reimbursed. Works are in full swing and it is scheduled to supply water by gravity in next Khariff season. It is programmed to complete the project by 2019. 1.4 To realize early benefits of Polavaram Project, Government completed Patiseema lift Scheme and linked two major rivers Godavari and Krishna. During the last 4 crop seasons, 263 TMC of Godavari Water is diverted to Krishna. This facilitated commencement of khariff crop in Krishna delta in June itself, so that crop is completed by November, avoiding damages due to cyclones.

    Published: December 12, 2011 00:00 IST | Updated: December 12, 2011 04:17 IST 17 scientists from TNAU to go on exposure visit Special Correspondent Seventeen scientists from Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, Tamil Nadu Rice Research Institute at Aduthurai and other research stations of the TNAU will attend an exposure visit to rice fallow black gram fields at Vijayawada and Guntur in Andhra Pradesh from December 21 to 23, according to a press release issued by Dhanuka Agritech Ltd here on Sunday. The company, as part of its public-private partnership activities, is arranging the visit. In delta districts, pulses are cultivated after harvesting of paddy in an area of 3 lakh acres with very low crop yields per acre as compared to the same crop raised in Krishna delta districts of Andhra Pradesh. In a bid to understand the Andhra Pradesh pulses cultivation methods, the exposure visit has been arranged. Scientists from Thanjavur district to take part in visit are T.Jayaraj, Director, Tamil Nadu Rice Research Institute (TRRI), Aduthurai, V.Ravi, Professor, Agronomy, TRRI, R.Panneerselvam, Professor, Agronomy, TRRI, K.Cholan, Professor, Agronomy, (Entomology), TRRI, Assistant Professors T.Ramesh and S.Vallakannan, TRRI, and T.Senguttuvan of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Needamangalam. Other scientists are from Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, Coimbatore, and other Krishi Vigyan Kendras and Agriculture Research Stations affiliated to TNAU. The public-private partnership activities are carried out with Krishi Vigyan Kendras, Agriculture departments, Agriculture Universities, and Agriculture Research Stations for Transfer of New Crop Improvement Technologies to ensure food security and sustainability in the future.

It is the ministry’s view on the annual economic development of the country. Annual document of the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, Economic Survey, reviews the developments in the Indian economy over the previous 12 months, summarizes the performance on major development programs, and highlights the policy initiatives of the government and the prospects of the economy in the short to medium term. It contains certain prescriptions that may find a place in the Union Budget which is presented a day or two later.
