Overall status of 61 prioritized projects : Projects inaugurated: 15 nos. For 1 Overall status - Projects ready for inauguration: 4 nos. information Projects in progress: 42 nos. Hon’ble CM requested to provide timelines for all the prioritized projects. Hon’ble Minister, WRD reviewed the status of the projects/areas/ acres of lands affected by the Titli Cyclone in Srikakulam district. CE, Srikakulam informed around 325 Tanks and Canals are affected by the cyclone and rectification measures are taken up immediately. Around 83,550 acres of crop is affected by the Vamshadhara flow. Hon’ble Minister, WRD raised concern for the underutilization of 90TMC of flood water from Vamshadhara and also instructed to make a committee with Expert Team, Hydrology Team, M/s Vassar labs to study on Temporary and Permanents Titli Cyclone For 2 solutions for the Flood banks. - Damages information Hon’ble Minister, WRD raised concern for the Man-made mistake of construction of National Highway at the low level, which affected 3000 acres of agricultural land. Instructed CE, Srikakulam to set up a meeting immediately with NHAI, to understand the cause and conclude permanent solutions for the coming futures. Hon’ble Minister, WRD instructed Hydrology department and CE, Srikakulam to come up with the model to understand the crisis, which may happen in Srikakulam district during Kharif season. Raiwada (Visakhapatnam) CE, Visakhapatnam informed only Raiwada region has 800 MCFT of drinking water For 3 - Drinking water shortage and can be drawn from Yeleru reservoir. information Crisis Hon’ble Minister, WRD instructed EnC, WRD to make a plan for Drinking water deficit in concurrence with Municipal Commissioner and CE, Visakhapatnam. CE, TGP informed Adavipalli Lift (Peddamandyam Lift) works will finish by 21st Oct’18 and only 100m of pipe line laying works are balance. Kuppam Branch Canal works will finish by 15th Nov’18. Nellore Barrage: Proposed to connect Head Regulator to Survypalli canal by 15th Nov’18. Sangam Barrage: CE, TGP informed action has initiated to entrust the part of work to another agency. Projects under CE, For 4 - Tirupathi CE, TGP informed Mallemadugu Reservoir, Balaji Reservoir, Venugopal Sagar information Reservoir and Somasila Swarnamukhi Link Canal are under issues of Alienation of Forest Lands. However, works are progressing with the available fronts. CE,TGP informed formalities for the stage-1 forest clearance for Somasila Swarnamukhi Link Canal is uploaded. DFO has processed the proposal to Chennai office and may take 15days of time for approval. Hon’ble CM instructed Forest department to expedite the approvals by end of November 2018. Hon’ble CM instructed to show the three Projects as completed & ready for Projects under CE, For 5 inauguration in the overall 61 Projects list. - Anantapuram Information Page 3 of 5 Action to be # Project / Topic Gist of discussions Timeline taken by — Marala Reservoir — Cherlopally Reservoir — Madakasira Branch Canal Hon’ble CM reviewed the projects status of the following projects (Detailed Progress details attached in annexure): — Widening of HNSS Main Canal – to take up in next season — Mid Pennar South Canal – to take up in next season — Lifting of water from Jeedipalli Reservoir to Upper Pennar Project — Lifting of water from Jeedipalli Reservoir to Bhairavanithippa Project — Community Lift cum Drip irrigation – Phase wise work to drip distributed for 50,000 acres of land and targeted to complete by 31 Mar’18. Secretary, WRD informed Package VI and VII are transferred to CE, Kadapa from CE, Tirupathi. For 6 GNSS Phase II CE, Kadapa briefed about the status of the work for all the packages. - Information Hon’ble CM instructed expedite all package tenders and targeted to complete tenders by Nov’18. CE, Ongole briefed about progess of Poola Subbiah Veligonda Project and issues of Refurbishment of TBM and replacement of deteriorated length of conveyor belt. CE, Ongole informed TBM works started and progressed a meter of work. However, faced issue with Belt. Hon’ble Minister, WRD raised concern for the continuous issues with the conveyor Project under CE, For 7 belt and instructed to expedite works. - Ongole Information Hon’ble CM instructed to complete Tunnel 1 works by 15th Jan’18. CE, Ongole informed 340 Acres of LA is under Court Case for Yerram Chinnapoli Reddy Korisapadu L.I Scheme and waiting for the Hearing. Hon’ble CM instructed to request the authority to expedite the hearing process. Uttarandhra Sujala 8 EnC, WRD informed there are two parts in the project.     10/31/2018 District Irrigation Profiles IRRIGATION PROFILE OF ANANTAPURAMU DISTRICT *Click here for Ayacut Map INTRODUCTION Ananthapuramu District is situated in Rayalseema region of Andhra Pradesh state and lies between 13°-40'N to 15°-15'N Latitude and 76°-50'E to 78°-30'E Longitude with a population of 40,83,315 (2011 census). One of the famous spiritual center in this district is Puttaparthi and it is 80Km. away from Ananthapuramu. The District falls partly in Krishna basin and partly in Pennar basin. The District is surrounded by Bellary, Kurnool Districts on the North, Kadapa and Kolar Districts of Karnataka on South East and North respectively. The district is principally a hot country and temperatures vary from 17°C-40°C. The important rivers flowing in the District are (1) Pennar (2) Jayamangali (3) Chitravathi (4) Vedavathi (also called Hagari), (5) Papagni, (6) Maddileru. The district head quarter is connected by S.C. Railways broad gauge railway line from Secunderabad, Guntakal, Bangalore and Bellary (Via) Guntakal to Pakala. Most of the area in this District is covered under Minor Irrigation Sources only in addition to one completed Major Irrigation Project viz., Tungabhadra Project High level canal (TBP HLC) system stage-I (A joint venture of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh States). The Right Bank High level canal (R.B.H.L.C.) takes off from right bank of T.B. Dam and runs in Karnataka and enters in Andhra Pradesh at Km. 105.437 and contemplated to irrigate an ayacut of 2.849 Lakh acres out of this 1,45,236 acres in Ananthapuramu district and remaining is Kurnool and Kadapa District.

Important achievements since 2014: 1.1 After analyzing the deficiencies in Jalayagnam projects, Government adopted 3 pronged strategy - Water conservation, River Linkage including Completion of pending projects and Water Management including micro irrigation to achieve the vision of making the state drought proof and to provide water security to all its Citizens. To overcome spreading out of expenditure thinly over large number of projects taken up under Jalayagnam, Government prioritized certain projects which will realize maximum benefits with the available funds to complete them in a time bound manner. 1.2 An Expenditure of Rs.63,657.52 Crore is incurred in Water Resources Sector and irrigation facilities are provided to an extent of 32.02 Lakh acres including stabilization. 1.3 Polavaram Project: Government have given highest importance for the completion of the project, which is the lifeline of the state. Total Expenditure incurred is Rs. 15,363.79 Crores, out of which Rs. 10,227.92 Crores is incurred after 1.4.2014. Government of India reimbursed only Rs. 6,727.264 Cr. and Rs. 3500.66 Cr. is yet to be reimbursed. Works are in full swing and it is scheduled to supply water by gravity in next Khariff season. It is programmed to complete the project by 2019. 1.4 To realize early benefits of Polavaram Project, Government completed Patiseema lift Scheme and linked two major rivers Godavari and Krishna. During the last 4 crop seasons, 263 TMC of Godavari Water is diverted to Krishna. This facilitated commencement of khariff crop in Krishna delta in June itself, so that crop is completed by November, avoiding damages due to cyclones.

    Published: December 12, 2011 00:00 IST | Updated: December 12, 2011 04:17 IST 17 scientists from TNAU to go on exposure visit Special Correspondent Seventeen scientists from Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, Tamil Nadu Rice Research Institute at Aduthurai and other research stations of the TNAU will attend an exposure visit to rice fallow black gram fields at Vijayawada and Guntur in Andhra Pradesh from December 21 to 23, according to a press release issued by Dhanuka Agritech Ltd here on Sunday. The company, as part of its public-private partnership activities, is arranging the visit. In delta districts, pulses are cultivated after harvesting of paddy in an area of 3 lakh acres with very low crop yields per acre as compared to the same crop raised in Krishna delta districts of Andhra Pradesh. In a bid to understand the Andhra Pradesh pulses cultivation methods, the exposure visit has been arranged. Scientists from Thanjavur district to take part in visit are T.Jayaraj, Director, Tamil Nadu Rice Research Institute (TRRI), Aduthurai, V.Ravi, Professor, Agronomy, TRRI, R.Panneerselvam, Professor, Agronomy, TRRI, K.Cholan, Professor, Agronomy, (Entomology), TRRI, Assistant Professors T.Ramesh and S.Vallakannan, TRRI, and T.Senguttuvan of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Needamangalam. Other scientists are from Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, Coimbatore, and other Krishi Vigyan Kendras and Agriculture Research Stations affiliated to TNAU. It is the ministry’s view on the annual economic development of the country. Annual document of the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, Economic Survey, reviews the developments in the Indian economy over the previous 12 months, summarizes the performance on major development programs, and highlights the policy initiatives of the government and the prospects of the economy in the short to medium term. It contains certain prescriptions that may find a place in the Union Budget which is presented a day or two later. The Government of Andhra Pradesh publishes ‘Socio-Economic Survey’ report every year and places it in both Houses of the State Legislature along with the budget documents. The report is a unique volume that captures the socio-economic changes took place in the state since the beginning of the financial year. The report essentially attempts to present the growth performance of the state economy by capturing the progress under key macro-economic aggregates and physical outcomes because of implementation of various programmes / schemes during the year 2017-18. The Socio Economic Survey 2017-18 is an outcome of the collective effort of all the stakeholders including the government departments, consultations made with experts from research bodies and interested readers who have offered their valuable advice.
