H igh Society Jazz Band Many jazz fans will remember Grimsby as one of Eggy Ley's Hot Shots/Betty Smith the premier jazz venues of the North when the Don Weller/Bryan Spring O.uartet South Bank Jazz Club and the East Coast Jazz Roy Barnes Ouintet Festival hosted the likes of George Melly, Williams!ohnnie Johnnie Dankworth, Tubby Hayes, Chris Barber, Maxine Sullivan Acker Bilk and Kenny Ball. The South Bank Jazz Festival will relive those old times as well as bringing some of the new sounds of jazz to Grimsby. The Festival will be held at the King George V Stadium in a marquee complex fitted with a first class P.A. system. Refreshments and New Riverside Jazzmen ample free parking will be available on site and Decoy there will be some special enterta inment for also Clark Tracey Ou intet our younger patrons.
