Facilities & Regulations • Shark Island is located just off the exclusive of Point Piper, Rose Bay and Vaucluse with 360° harbour views from the Opera House and Harbour Bridge to the west and the entrance of Harbour to the east • Food and beverage facilities are not available on the island (no BBQ facilities) • Five picnic shelters with table and bench • One gazebo for up to 30 people (no bookings, first come, first served basis) • Plenty of shady trees, grassy areas and a small beach area • Drinking water and toilets are available on the island • Please ensure you bring suitable walking shoes, sunscreen, hat & water bottle • Supervise children at all times particularly around rocky ledges and on uneven pathways • Help preserve our environment by only bringing recyclable picnic containers and by leaving nothing on the island • Disposal facilities on the island are very limited - please take away everything you bring • Places are strictly limited to meet the Island capacity • Please respect other groups and families whilst on Shark Island and remember to drink responsibly • NSW National Park regulations do not permit the following on the island: smoking, amplified/loud music and/or public address systems, candles or other open flames, confetti (rice, petals or similar), vines and other exotic plant material, roping off areas or signs for events, butterfly releases, pegging or staking items into the ground, depositing ice or iced water on grassed areas, water balloons and paintball equipment, domestic animals, weddings unless pre-booked (fees apply)
