SATURDAY 26TH JANUARY 2019 THE DOMAIN LADY MACQUARIES RD, SYDNEY EVENT INFORMATION ENTRY The main entry to the Event will be off on Art Gallery Road directly across from the Art Gallery of NSW. TICKET COLLECTION Be sure to arrive early if you plan to pick up your tickets at The Domain on the day of the show. The Box office opens at the venue on Event day from 4:00pm. TRANSPORT THIS IS A SOLD-OUT EVENT, IN ADDITION TO STANDARD EVENT ROAD CLOSURES, THERE WILL BE ADDITIONAL ROAD CLOSURES DUE TO AUSTRALIA DAY EVENTS IN THE CITY ON JANUARY 26th - WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO CATCH PUBLIC TRANSPORT TO GET TO & FROM THE SHOW. Visit Transport NSW to plan your trip and Live Traffic Sydney for regular updates. • Train: the nearest stations are St James, Martin Place or Circular Quay • Ferry: accessible via Circular Quay • Bus: for a full list of timetables, maps and trip planning visit www.transportnsw.info To facilitate easier patron access and parking in the vicinity traffic changes will occur. Expect Delays from 4pm – 10pm on: o Art Gallery Rd o Hospital Rd o St Marys Rd o College St at Prince Albert Rd Road Closures Roads approaching The Domain including Macquarie St and William St will be busy ahead of the show. If you are planning on driving, allow additional travel time and expect delays. Roads around The Domain will close while the concert is underway to allow for crowds to safely arrive and leave the area. Motorists should avoid driving through the area at the end of the event and consider alternate routes. • From 8pm until midnight: Art Gallery Road / Mrs Macquarie Road from Hospital Road will be closed. • From approximately 10pm until midnight: sections of St Mary's Road, Macquarie Street, St James Road, College Street, Prince Albert Road and Cathedral Street will close to allow for crowds to safely leave the area. Roads around Circular Quay and The Rocks will also close for Australia Day celebrations from 3pm until midnight and from 7.30pm until 10.30pm. For more details visit the Australia Day event page. For the latest traffic information visit Live Traffic NSW or download a real-time traffic app. A vehicle drop off zone will be in place at the corner of Hospital Road and Art Gallery Road Police managed road closures will take place from 8.00pm. Road closures are: o St Mary’s Road from Prince Albert Road to Sir John Young Crescent o Prince Albert Road from Macquarie Street to Art Gallery Road o Hospital Road from Art Gallery Road to Shakespeare Place o Macquarie Street from Hunter Street to Prince Albert Road o St James Road from Elizabeth Street to Macquarie Street o College Street from Park Street to Prince Albert Road o Cathedral Street at St Marys Road Parking Restrictions The Domain car park is expected to reach capacity early. There are various commercial car parks nearby but these are also expected to be in high demand due to various Australia Day events taking place in the city. Attendees planning on driving to and from the event are strongly encouraged to arrive early or consider parking outside the city and continuing their trip by public transport. A designated drop off area will be located on Hospital Road off Art Gallery Road. Limited metered parking is available on site and at the Domain Car Park (operated by Wilson Parking). For prices visit: Domain Car Park Drop Off Zone A drop off zone will be operational on Hospital Road near the corner of Art Gallery Road, however as this is subject to heavy congestion we suggest finding alternative drop off points. ACCESSIBLE OPTIONS An accessible viewing platform will be available for patrons with wheelchairs & disabilities and can be accessed via Phillip Path. A dedicated event drop off zone will be operational on Saturday 26 January located on Hospital Road near the corner of Art Gallery Road. Parking is available at Domain car park with lift access to the Crescent precinct which is adjacent to the event site. Accessible trips are shown in the Trip Planner with the wheelchair icon. You can select "accessible services only" in the Options to ensure you only see accessible services. Only trip plans with accessible train platforms, ferry wharves and buses will be presented. See accessible travel or download a transport app (select the "Accessibility" filter). Accessible parking spaces are available in The Domain carpark and in front of The Art Gallery – but these are limited. Drop-off and collection for patrons with mobility requirements is on St Mary’s Road. WHAT TO BRING Don’t forget your ticket! Bring ID if you plan to purchase and consume alcohol in the Venue. There will be limited ATMs on site, and the majority of bars and food outlets will have card and cash payment options. The event will proceed RAIN OR SHINE so please check weather conditions prior to making your way, and plan to dress accordingly. WHAT NOT TO BRING PROHIBITED ITEMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: • NO PASS OUTS • NO ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES - Laneway Presents & Chugg Entertainment do not support the dealing or consumption of illicit drugs, and asks all punters not bring any or take anything in advance of the show. It is expected that police & police sniffer dogs will be present at the venue. • Strictly no BYO alcohol - any alcohol found at the Venue will be confiscated and will not be returned and the offending patron(s) ejected from Venue for the remainder of the Event. • NO food or drink can be brought into the site- Food & drink will be available for purchase inside the Event.** • NO chairs, umbrellas (even if it’s raining), prams, pushers, strollers, tables, Eskies /coolers, professional cameras &/or video recording equipment, tents, sun shelters, glass, cans, metal cutlery, knives, selfie or go pro sticks, electronic cigarettes (e- cigarettes or e-cigs), personal vaporisers, or animals (excluding service dogs such as guide dogs and police or emergency service dogs). **For this Event, sealed plastic water bottles (with or without contents) cannot be brought into the Venue. Unsealed EMPTY plastic water bottles (no glass or aluminium reusable bottles) can be brought into the Venue. NO BAGS bigger than 30cm x 30cm x 30cm allowed on site. All bags will be subject to search upon entry. Cash only paid external cloakroom facilities will also be available. Laneway Presents & Chugg Entertainment do not take any responsibility for confiscated items. We work tirelessly with medical, police and safety personnel to prevent any injuries or illness at our shows. While drug-consumption and pill-testing continues to be an evolving conversation, Laneway Presents and Chugg Entertainment do not support the dealing or consumption of illicit drugs, and asks all punters not to bring or take anything in advance of the show.
