REVIEW OF DIWAN-E-WAISI
1. Preface : The writer of the preface and collector of Diwan, is Janab Maulana Sayd Muhammad Mir Hasan Waled Maulavi Sayd Muhammad Sayd Hasan Ebne Maulavi Sayd Ehsan Ali.
2. According to the preface writer many Gajals of this magnificent Diwan have not been found. The Gajals and kasidas which remain 'not found' bear the 'haraf' as Jim-Kha-Jab-Sin-Ain-Gain.
4. After such a long period it is almost impossible to find out the missing gajals and kasidas. The original manuscript or the missing Gajals may be found out if enquiries or intensive research work in British Museum or in any international museum like it is carried out. And thus we may recover the Diwan in its complete form.
5. It would certainly be a praisworthy and invaluable endeavour to make the unique Persian Diwan of a pure Bengalee poet, complete and discover the missing gems at the same time.
6. 1 shall value this diwan as unique, there are dozens of world famous diwans in Persian literature. But the diwan written by the son of Mother Bengal has at least one unique quality by dint of which it is unparallel novel, and on aspirant to be the greatest. That is no one has written so many Gajals and Kasidas or a complete Diwan solely about "Nabiye Rahamat Khatemul Ambia Muhammad Mostafa Sallallahu Alihe Wa Alehi". There are more than two hundred Gajals and kasidas (one Kasida is equivalent to six or seven Gajals) in this Diwan on dear Nabiji (S). The number of lines (mechhra) goes as far as eight thousands inclusive of large and small. This figure will further increase incase the missing Gajals and kasidas are found out.
7. In the light of my vast practice and research works on persian poetry and literature for a period of over two decades I claim this Diwan as unique and incomparable.
8. 1 do not know whether there is any person other than Hazrat Waisi PIR (RA), who is conciously insave with so much love for Rasul (S.), particularly in the literary field.
9. Though "Kasidaye But is an wonderful addition on to world literature and spiritual domain yet the Diwan-i- Waisi possesses a matchless postition in respect of its shape and huge contents.
10. It seems strange that a poetical work of such an outstanding merit was sunk into oblivion like fire smouldering under ashes or cloud covered sun.
11. Persian language and literature are still very much present in our thinking and culture, though it is no longer in vogue in our sub-continent, it is like our soul spreading through all our existence.
12. Stranger still is the fact that ummatey Muhammadi and Ashiqane Rasul (S)'s could not notice such an invaluable gem Diwani-e-Waisi. The devotee murids and Khalifas of Waisi Pir spread themselves vastly in every corner of Bengal and founded large spiritual centres under such circumstances this negligence towards Diwan -e- Waisi has caused indeed an irretrievable loss.
13. Not only the Bengali translation of this sort of a Diwan is essential rather basing on it a large number of hamds, Nats, gajals, songs and poems could have been written to enrich Bengali literature with 'takwa' and spiritualism.
14. If our poets and writers could get a translation of spiritually rich Diwan like this with its Persian pronunciation and elaboration, they might put an end to their weakness particularly in the sphere of spirituallity and 'Deendari'.

15. A different lexicon on the terminology of Diwane Waisi should be compiled. Because the terminology it contains, seems a treasure prove of Quran, Hadis, Fekaha, History, literature, civilisation and culture with occassional hints. Besides as the Persian culture and literary practice is obsolete in our country so its metaphors simlies, techniques of conversation and stylistics should be explained, otherwise the present and future generation would fail to realize the inner mind 'of the writer of Diwan and as a result attainment of maximum benifit from it would remain a far cry.
17. This Diwan should be translated not only in Bengali but in the main languages of the world, like the works Rubaiyat of Omar Khaiyam and Diwan-e-Hafez of Hafez. In this way the contribution of an erudite son of Bengal will go a long way in enhancing the glory of our country and nation.
