Oregon Title I-C Migrant Education Office

The Title I-C Migrant Education Office of the Oregon Department of Education administers the program throughout the state and is the liaison between local migrant education projects and the federal government. As part of its administrative tasks, the Migrant Education Office distributes funds, monitors local projects, and evaluates the overall program.

Oregon Migrant Education Service Center

The Oregon Migrant Education Service Center (OMESC) is the educational support agency of the Oregon Title I-C Migrant Education Office. It serves as an umbrella organization in coordinating services to Oregon Projects funded under ESEA Title I-C Migrant Education. The primary objective of the OMESC is to serve school districts enrolling eligible migrant students. The OMESC, in cooperation with the various project directors and their staffs, provides concise and extensive staff development programs in order to assist all migrant education staff to perform more adequately in serving the needs of migrant children. The Center also functions as a liaison with other agencies which provide services to migrant children.

The Oregon Migrant Education Service Center is funded through a contract between the Oregon Department of Education and the Willamette Education Service District.
