Presentation
The town of Ripoll is the capital of Ripollès, is located 691 meters above sea level in the heart of the Pre-Pyrenean and surrounded by mountains. It covers an area of 74km2. The town has been spread on the banks of the rivers Ter and Freser, which are contained in the town, giving the valley the form of a Greek Y. Its location and the land makes Ripoll is nearly everywhere.

The road network is structured so that most of the roads in the area and the main roads, such as the C-17, the N-152 and N-260 passed by the council. Public transportation will connect with neighboring regions and other destinations such as Barcelona and
Girona. The rail line that passes through Ripoll allows us to go to Barcelona or to Puigcerdà and the Tour de Carol, in French territory.

The area of competition will be located next to the equipment mentioned before, where they have training facilities for the permanent members of the High Performance Sports Centre of Ripollès *
All sections will be located in an area of 1500m2 and will be composted by rocks, concrete pipes, spools, sleepers, logs and slopes of soil.

HIGH PERFORMANCE SPORTS CENTRE OF RIPOLLÈS* (Centre de Tecnificació Esportiva del Ripollès – CTER)
The High Performance Sports Centre of Ripollès is an operating unit depending on the municipality of Ripoll and linked to the several Catalan sports federations involved in the development of their sports. The objective is intended to serve those young athletes selected in accordance with technical criteria established for specific rules of each sport and have a projection toward the professional sport, and ensure that they receive an integral training.
The selected athletes have an ideal context to develop technical sport training, with an academic, medical and psychological health monitoring to guarantee that an appropriate for sports performance. The High Performance Sports Centre of Ripollès along with a several Catalan sports federations will be involved to determine the geographic area of influence where they can detect and track the athletes, and will decide the technical staff and the necessary resources to achieve the goals of each individual athlete applied to the new technology.
From the Catalan Cycling Federation we have started a new project referred to the new technology of all our sports. We have begun a new strategic plan with the trials discipline, a specialty that until then did not have a high performance draft.
The trials discipline project is the first major objective that we have fixed for ourselves; we work with athletes from 15 to 18 years old who are already getting some adequate results in Catalonia and Spain, and represent a great international projection on their sport field.
The project will offer an incomparable future that will allow us to achieve important milestones sports and project with the athletes the importance of part of being part of a project like this.
We have also initiated a promotional project and organizing different championships of the sports fields associated with the Center. One example of this was been the final of the Spanish Championship in 2008.
