MANGO CROP REPORT Updated September 17, 2021 Please refresh your browser to upload the most current report The National Board (NMB) publishes the Mango Crop Report on a regular basis using information from industry organizations and other sources in an effort to provide the best available information on shipment projections, actual arrivals, variety and size availability, and other figures considered useful to the U.S. mango market. Although this information is updated regularly, changes can occur due to numerous factors at any given moment in time. Accordingly, the Mango Crop Report should only be used as a guide. SUMMARY: Mexico, Haiti, Brazil and Ecuador

• EXPORTING REGIONS: Mexico (North Sinaloa) - EMEX has ended their season - Haiti, Brazil and Ecuador are current- ly harvesting and packing. See pages 3-5, 6-7, 8-10 and 11-12 respectively, for more details on each country. • VARIETIES: There are currently TWO main mango varieties available in the market: (68%) and (29%). There are also limited supplies of , /Honey, and Madame Francis. See pages 2, 4, 9 and 12. • AVERAGE SIZING FOR THE SEASON: (Ataulfo/Honey: Large = size 16 and larger, Small = size 18 and smaller. Round : Extra Large = 7 and larger, Large = sizes 8 and 10, Small = 12 and smaller.)

• Mexico (North Sinaloa): 41% of Keitt are Extra Large, 40% are Large and 19% are Small. See table on page 5.

• RECENT VOLUMES: Total mango volume shipped on week ending 9/11/2021 was approximately 2,975,767 boxes.  Mexico: Volume shipped was approximately 1,907,527 boxes for a total of 75,945,991 boxes for the season.  Haiti: Volume shipped was not reported.  Brazil: Volume shipped was approximately 1,062,368 boxes for a total of 3,984,596 boxes for the season.  Ecuador: Volume shipped was approximately 5,872 boxes for a total of 5,872 boxes for the season. • FUTURE VOLUMES: Overall mango volume shipped from week 37 (9/18/2021) to week 44 (11/6/2021) is expected to be about 6% Lower year-over-year, with arrivals expected from week 38 to 45. The 2021 Mexican season is projected to be about 1% lower YOY. The 2021 Haitian season is projected to be about 9% higher YOY. The 2021 Brazilian season is projected to be about 12% higher YOY. The 2021 Ecuadorian season is projected to be about 6% higher YOY. See page 2 for total and weekly volumes, and pages 4, 7, 9 and 12 for individual country volume.

Mango Crop Report Updated September 17, 2021 - Page 2 Mexico Crop Information • The Mexican mango season began the first week of January and will run until the first week of October with a pro- jection of approximately 77 million boxes

• Mexico’s main varieties are: Tommy Atkins (40%), Ataulfo/Honey (27%), Kent (19%), Keitt (11%) and Others (3%).

Volume on week ending 9/11/2021

• Volume shipped from Mexico was approximately 1,907,527 boxes for a total of 75,945,991 boxes for the season.  During the same week last year, volume shipped from Mexico was 1,788,886 boxes for a total of 76,448,153 boxes.

• Haiti’s main variety is Madame Francis (100%).
