GUEST EDITORIAL THE INVENTION OF LYING? by Sal Giarratani I recently viewed a movie called “The Invention of Lying.” The premise of the movie was what happens in a world without lying when you discover how to lie ef- fectively. It also showed how lying can sometimes be better than telling the actual truth. At one point in the movie, an adult son visits his mom in the nursing home but the nursing home in this world is called “A Sad Place A fundraiser for Republican Candidate for Governor Charlie Baker and Republican for Hopeless Old People.” At another point in the movie, Candidate for Lt. A world without a belief in something or one bigger Tong Ren Healing Class than us would be a sad place for only hopeless people. In the movie, human morality was written on the backs of pizza boxes. In reality, when we adore pizza boxes better than the people around us, we get what we reap and that’s no lie.
