The müller thurgau grape has adapted to our rigid MÜLLER THUR- mountain climate but its wine reveals surprisingly GAU Mediterranean hints of sun-blessed sage leaves. DOC 2016 VINTAGE The 2016 vintage produced numerous surprises. The mild spring was succeeded by a frigid April that initially brought growth to a standstill. VARIETAL(S): Müller Thurgau Constant hard work in the vineyard ensured that the situation was AGE OF VINES: 5 – 20 years kept under control. A changeable start to the summer was followed by sunny days in late August and September. The grape harvest began in TEMPERATURE: 10 – 12 °C mid-September. The white wines are distinguished by a pleasant aroma OPTIMAL AGING: 2017 – 2018 supported by a well-structured acidity, while the red wines are marked by their powerful fragrance and matching. YIELD: 80 hl / ha VINIFICATION TRELLISING SYSTEM: Wire-trained + Pergola Destemming of ripe, healthy grapes, after which the must was pressed, and then naturally clarified; fermentation at a controlled ALCOHOL: 12,5 % temperature of 16 °C, 4-months ageing on the fine lees in stainless steel. RESIDUAL SUGAR: 2,5 g/l

TASTING NOTES – bright yellow-green – aromas of peach, nutmeg and elderberry – juicy, round and balanced, aromatic on the finish
RECOMMENDATION This wine should be paired with light appetizers, poached or sautéed fish, or enjoyed as an aperitif.
