Sub. : Creation of more 06 Assault Groups for Counter Insurgency Force to counter terrorist activities in LWE affected areas and creation of 186 regular posts of different categories under West Bengal Police for the purpose.
The undersigned is directed to refer to his notes vide No. ORG-99/14 dated 14/01/2016 in the Secretariat File No. PB/3P-20/14 and to say that the proposal for creation of more 06 Assault Groups for Counter Insurgency Force to counter terrorist activities in LWE affected areas and creation of 186 regular posts of different categories under West Bengal Police for the purpose, was under active consideration of the Government for some time past.
2. Now, the undersigned is directed to say that the Governor is pleased to accord approval to the creation of more 06 Assault Groups for Counter Insurgency Force to counter terrorist activities in LWE affected areas and creation of 186 regular posts of different categories under West Bengal Police for the purpose as detailed hereunder:-

Sub. : Setting up of an Investigation Centre at Sutia under Gaighata Police Station in the district of North 24 Parganas and creation of 21 (twenty one) regular posts of different categories under West Bengal Police and engagement of one part time sweeper (Karmabandhu) for the purpose.
The undersigned is directed to refer to his Office Letter No. 580/ORG dated 23/05/2013 and to say that the proposal for setting up of an Investigation Centre at Sutia under Gaighata Police Station in the district of North 24 Parganas and creation of regular posts of different categories under West Bengal Police and engagement of part time sweeper (Karmabandhu) for the purpose, was under active consideration of the Government for some time past.
2. Now, the undersigned is directed to say that the Governor after careful consideration of the proposal is pleased to accord approval to the setting up of an Investigation Centre at Sutia under Gaighata Police Station in the district of North 24 Parganas and creation of 21 (twenty one) regular posts of different categories under West Bengal Police for the purpose as detailed hereunder:-

3. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide their U.O. No. Gr. P2/2017-2018/0107 dated 04/05/2017 and approval of the Cabinet held on 08/08/2017.

MEMORANDUM
1. In continuation of Memorandum No. 3487-PL dated 15 th July 2002 and Memorandum No. 5240- PL dated 16 th December 2011 of the erstwhile Home Department of this Government, the Governor has been pleased to order that the Police personnel (below the rank of Inspector downwards), who have been getting Ration Allowance @ Rs. 1000/- per month belonging to West Bengal Police and Kolkata Police, will be given Ration allowance @ Rs. 1500/- per month with effect from 01 st October 2017 until further order.
2. All other terms and conditions of Memorandum No. 3487-PL dated 15 th July 2002, mentioned above, will remain the same.
3. This order is issued with the concurrence of Finance Department vide their U.O. No. Group P2/2017-2018/0598 dated 13/09/2017.
4. All concerned are being informed.
