DIRECTIONS TO ST LUCY’S CONVENT, , Near Alton, Hants GU34 5LL

Directions from and the South From the A3 at Petersfield follow the A27 west for approx. 6 miles then take the A32 in the direction of Alton for approx. 4.5 miles then turn left on to Road for about a mile then right on to Hawthorn Road for 1.5 miles. At the 5-way junction take the Bottom Road for a mile. At the A31 turn left then immediately right. Continue on Lymington Bottom Road for approx. 1.5 miles to a large road junction by the green. The entrance to St. Lucy’s is here – there will be a sign out on the day.

Directions from and the West: Follow the A31 towards Alton for approx. 13 miles. After Ropley, uphill on a dual carriageway, finishing just before the summit and a 40 mph zone. Pass a Little Chef on your left. Follow A31 downhill. At the bottom of the hill is a cross roads with a central reservation - TURN LEFT into Lymington Bottom Road. Follow this road for approx. 1.5 miles and you will come to a large road junction by the green. The entrance to St. Lucy’s is here – there will be a sign out on the day.

Directions from and the North: Follow the A339 towards Alton. After Airfield, take the third turning on the right towards Medstead, and the Star Inn. Turn left at the Star Inn and follow the road. At the Church, turn left past the Post Office. Turn left again into the Convent at the end of the houses, before the road junction on the right.

Directions from Alton: Follow the A339 towards Basingstoke. Turn left towards Beech, Theddon and Medstead. Follow the road, passing Alton Priory on the right. Turn right into the Convent just after the road signs for Hussell Lane and High Street.

Directions from and the East: Follow A31 towards Winchester (by-pass Alton). Approx. 2 miles from the Roundabout (Junction with A32) you will be in . Follow A31 downhill passing shops and a Garage on your left. At the bottom of the hill is a cross roads with a central reservation - TURN RIGHT into Lymington Bottom Road. Follow this road for approx. 1.5 miles and you will come to a large road junction by the green. The entrance to St. Lucy’s is here – there will be a sign out on the day.
