Bonnie Low-Kramen Full Biography

International speaker and teacher, Bonnie Low-Kramen is recognized as one of the world’s most respected and inspirational leaders in the administrative profession. In 2015 Bonnie was named Educator of the Year by the Domestic Estate Managers Association. She worked as the Personal Assistant to Oscar-winning actress Olympia Dukakis for 25 years until 2011.

Bonnie is a co-founder of NYCA – New York Celebrity Assistants – a professional networking organization. A New Jersey native and Rutgers University graduate, Bonnie’s interactive, passionate, entertaining, and inspiring workshops and presentations give assistants and managers the vital edge necessary to stand out and excel in today’s challenging and highly pressured workplace.

Bonnie’s passion is to affect positive change in the global workplace by paving the way towards healthy and productive relationships between assistants, managers, and fellow staff. Bonnie and Vickie Sokol Evans host a monthly Podcast series where they tackle the burning issues of the workplace. A writer for Executive Secretary Magazine, SmartCEO Magazine, and the Ultimate Assistant blog, her website was named as one of the “Top 10 Websites for Assistants of 2015” by Business Management Daily.

She is a member of many professional organizations, including New York Celebrity Assistants (co-founder), International Association of Administrative Professionals, Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In, and the National Association of Professional Women. Bonnie is at the center of the movement to end workplace bullying and to close the wage gap.

Bonnie’s work with Olympia Dukakis included close involvement with the Academy Award win for , the 1988 presidential campaign of , and travel around the world to places such as Sydney, London, Alaska, and Prague.

A New Jersey native, Bonnie holds a B.A. degree from Rutgers University in English and Theatre. She worked in public relations and marketing for not- for-profit theatres in , Atlanta, and Houston before returning to New Jersey in 1986 where she became the Public Relations Director at Olympia Dukakis’ Whole Theatre in Montclair, NJ. The rest is history.
