It is a little-known fact that they are among a long, distinguished list of performers who earlier in their careers served as standbys or understudies.

At This Performance…™, a critically acclaimed celebration of Broadway and Off-Broadway standbys, understudies and alternates, gives some of New York’s finest musical performers their chance in the spotlight. No longer “waiting in the wings,” they take their well-deserved place center stage. Produced and hosted by New York Casting Director Stephen DeAngelis, the performers will display their great talents and versatility, share backstage behind-the-scenes anecdotes about their experiences and conduct an enlightening and entertaining question and answer session with the audience. Since the series debut on October 2003, At This Performance… has showcased more than 900 different performers to date.

Performers scheduled for this special edition of At This Performance…, produced exclusively for Walton Arts Center, are Jessica Hendy (Cats; Amour; Aida), Mykal Kilgore (Motown the Musical; Hair), Linda Mugleston (Hello, Dolly!; On the Twentieth Century; Beautiful: The Carole King Musical; Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella; Anything Goes; Young Frankenstein; Wonderful Town; Nine; Into the Woods; Kiss Me, Kate; On the Town) and Wade Preston (Movin’ Out). Musical Director/Accompanist will be Eugene Gwozdz.
