President’s Message

Then it was off to visit the Birthplace of Clark Gable and its Museum located in Cadiz Ohio. Dr. Mattox telling stories about museum items. Then the sun finally broke on the horizon for a relaxing rural drive back to the hotel. After freshening-up we went for a delightful evening meal and more enjoyable camaraderie rounded out our tour day. Sunday began with a beautiful drive through the winding hills of Southern Ohio to Barnesville. Around the corner near downtown was a great opportunity to do some antique shopping. Several purchases were made before we headed out to another great lunch experience. It’s always great to get our old cars out on the road but unfortunately, like all good things; they must come to an end. The city has become a mecca for Superman fans. Metropolis abounds with Superman memorabilia for thousands of visitors each year. 2018 was the 31st year for the Founders Tour. All cars from 1932 to 1993 are eligible to participate. This year we traveled nearly 150 miles each day. We wound our way through the states of Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, and Tennessee.
