CHEVROLET-BUICK-GMC AND CADILLAC PROTECTION OFFER PROGRAM
Overview The Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and Cadillac Protection Offer Program the “Program” provides eligible Participants the “Participant” residing in the United States with the opportunity to receive a Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and Cadillac Protection Pre-Paid Maintenance Plan at no additional charge with their purchase of a Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and Cadillac Protection Plan.
By utilizing the Program, both the eligible Participant and the Sponsored Purchaser, as defined below, acknowledge these Rules and Guidelines and agree to abide by them.
It is the responsibility of the Participant to know the rules of the Program as set forth in this document and to make them known to their sponsored purchasers. Violations of these rules by any purchaser will result in sanctions against the eligible Participant.
The Program may be withdrawn at any time, and its terms are subject to change from time to time by General Motors. Final decisions in all matters relating to the interpretation of any rule or phrase of this activity rest solely with General Motors.
Eligibility A. Eligible Participants
This program is available only to:
1) Active employees
2) Retired employees
3) Former employees who meet one of the following requirements: - Currently receiving GM pension or healthcare plan - Worked for GM for a minimum of 5 consecutive years in a salaried position
4) Surviving spouses who receive GM pension or healthcare plan. New surviving spouses of retired UAW members receiving healthcare, but not a GM pension, are not eligible.
5) Active employees of current and approved GM suppliers
6) Active GM Dealership employees
B. Sponsored Purchasers
Active Employees and Retired employees are able to sponsor their spouse, children, grandchildren, parents, stepparents, grandparents (including in-law and step), siblings (including full, half and step), stepchildren, stepgrandchildren, mother-/ father-in-law, sons-/daughters-in-law, brothers-/sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Active Employees may also sponsor prospect customers through the Supplier Discount for Friends Program.
Individuals who are employed by a government organization may not be sponsored as purchaser/lessee due to relevant government rules. Consult GM Policy: PCC-06 SALE, DONATION OR COURTESY LOAN OF VEHICLES TO GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS/ENTITIES. Program Rules This Program is available when:
a) The Participant purchases a Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and Cadillac Protection Plan at participating GM Dealerships; and
b) Is holding a valid GM Employee Discount Program authorization number, GM Supplier Discount Program authorization, or a GM Dealership Employee authorization and using it on the purchase or lease of an eligible Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicle under the GM Employee Discount Program.
With the purchase of the eligible Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and Cadillac Protection Plan, the Participant may complete and send in the Pre-Paid Maintenance Voucher to receive a Pre-Paid Maintenance Plan at no additional charge.
The Pre-Paid Maintenance Plan provides additional maintenance visits, beyond the manufacturer’s included maintenance, which each include an oil change, oil filter and tire rotation.*
• For Chevrolet, Buick and GMC: The Participant may receive three maintenance visits on top of the manufacturer’s included maintenance within the first 36 months or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first).
• For Cadillac:
o For 2019 and newer model years: The Participant may receive three maintenance visits on top of the manufacturer’s included maintenance within the first 36 months or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first).
o For 2018 and prior model years: The Participant may receive four maintenance visits** on top of the manufacturer’s included maintenance within the first 72 months or 60,000 miles (whichever comes first).
*Services may vary depending on vehicle model.
**The Pre-Paid Maintenance Plan for Cadillac XT5 model years 2018 and prior includes three maintenance visits on top of the manufacturer’s included maintenance within the first 72 months or 60,000 miles (whichever comes first).
The Pre-Paid Maintenance Voucher must be submitted within 30 days of the vehicle purchase.
General Motors will conduct periodic audits to ensure the integrity of the Program. Participants may be asked to furnish documentation supporting the eligibility of sponsored family members and compliance with these rules.
Documents requested may include, but are not limited to, copies of marriage licenses, birth certificates, registration/title information, etc.
General Motors reserves the right to audit dealership records and disqualify any sales that do not meet The Program’s guidelines. Any money improperly paid to any party based upon dealers or Participants representation shall be charged back accordingly.
Violations of these Rules and Guidelines by any Sponsored Purchaser will result in sanctions against the Participant.
Sanctions may include, but are not limited to, the loss of privileges (two [2] years per violation), repayment of monies, and/or employment action up to and including termination of employment. In addition, legal action may be commenced for any rule violation.
Eligibility Period
Participants or Sponsored Purchasers must be eligible to participate throughout the entire program period; i.e., on the date the process is started through the date of customer pay event.
How to Purchase the Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and Cadillac Protection Plan
Participants or Sponsored Purchasers may contact a Participating Dealer to purchase a Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and Cadillac Protection Plan contract. The protection plan must be a Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac Protection Plan — plans from other providers (including the GM Protection Plan (GMPP) offered by Ally) are not eligible for this program.
Participants may search for a list of Participating Dealers by using the dealer locator tool on Chevrolet.com, Buick.com, GMC.com and Cadillac.com.
How to Receive the Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and Cadillac Pre-Paid Maintenance Plan
To receive the Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and Cadillac Pre-Paid Maintenance Plan, Participants will need to complete the Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and Cadillac Pre-Paid Maintenance Voucher and submit to [email protected]. The Pre-Paid Maintenance Voucher must be submitted within 30 days of the vehicle purchase. The voucher form can be downloaded from the Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and Cadillac Protection offer section in the GM Marketplace, or requested by emailing the address above or calling Stephanie Kowalski at (810) 498-9006.
To complete the voucher form, the Participant will need their GM Employee Discount Program authorization number OR GM Supplier Discount Program authorization number OR GM Dealership Employee authorization number, the VIN of the vehicle purchased, and the Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and Cadillac Protection Plan contract number, as well as their personal contact information.
Contract Cancellation
If the Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and Cadillac Protection Plan contract is cancelled within 60 days of purchase, the Chevrolet- Buick-GMC and Cadillac Pre-Paid Maintenance Plan contract will be voided.
Other Information
The Program does not constitute an agreement between GM and any purchaser for the purchase of any customer pay service at a specific price. However, by use of The Program, The Participant and Sponsored Purchaser acknowledge the Program’s Rules and Guidelines and agree to abide by the same program Rules and Guidelines. General Motors may unilaterally modify, change or withdraw the Program at any time.
Failure to comply with an audit request may subject the Participant to the consequences referenced in the Program Rules section. General Motors has the final decision on all eligibility requirements. GM may modify the Rules and Guidelines of The Program at any time, in its sole discretion.
Compliance with Applicable Laws
If any law or regulation is adopted or interpreted which, in GM’s opinion, prohibits or penalizes the implementation of The Program, GM may, in its sole discretion, cancel The Program or any order submitted pursuant to The Program without any further obligation and without any liability to either the dealer or The Participant.
Program Cancellation
General Motors reserves the right to cancel, amend or revoke this program at any time for any reason.
